Is God Calling YOU??
“God doesn’t call the qualified, He qualifies the called.”
As we begin to gear up for Religious Education this fall,
we are always looking for people who are willing to help
lead our young children and teens in passing on the
faith! Do you have a little extra free time and are trying to
figure out how to fill it in a positive way? Do you want to
give back to your parish?? Consider being a part of our
faith community in the role of Catechist (head teacher) or
aide. Our elementary classrooms typically consist of 2
catechists and 2 aides so that all involved still have flexibility and don’t have to be present at every class. We offer free childcare so anyone who is interested in helping
has the opportunity! Please prayerfully consider the call
to be a catechist! It does not mean you have to be an expert in our faith, just willing to share your with our young
ones who are just beginning to develop their own!! Catechist training will begin late August.
Please contact Valerie for more information.

Our 10:00 Sunday morning nursery is still looking for a
few teens/adults who might be interested in helping out
about 1x a month in the nursery. It is a great way to serve
in a ministry that helps our young families to fully worship
during mass. If you might be interested in helping out,
please contact Valerie.
RE registration packets have been mailed out. If you did
not receive one, you may not be registered in the parish
(which is different than registered for RE). Please contact
the office so we can get you registered and get a packet
to you. You can also go to our parish website and follow
the online giving info to register for RE online.
PARISH COUNCIL DISCERNMENT: We will be needing
a few new members for our Parish Pastoral Council. We
are looking for active, committed Catholics in good standing. If you are interested or wish to suggest someone for
this ministry, please contact Carlos Briones at 540-4405061, [email protected]; or Vicki FawcettAdams, 540-896-3417, [email protected], or Bob

we would like to get them their certificate and make sure we
have the right information in our sacramental register.
Please email or call Martha at the office (mmoyers@bsccva;
434-4341 ext. 109) with your child’s name, birthdate and
place, parents’ names, date and place of baptism, and

HOUSEKEEPING DETAILS!
YAM (Young Adult Ministry) is meeting weekly on
Wednesdays at 8-9 pm in the library for our summer study
group. Come join us this Wednesday as we continue our
journey through the covenants of the Bible. The study will
end August 12.
Please DO NOT bring your own votive candles to use in
front of the statues in the small chapel. They melt all over
and the wax has to be dug out with a knife. It’s also a fire
hazard. Please use the candles provided. Thank you!

as the photos of those who chose to have a picture made.

mass through this weekend in the hallway by the elevator.
and in the office during office hours after that.
The Food Pantry can always use help with unloading &
stocking on Mondays from 9:00 am to Noon. We also will

groups, that would like to raise money, can work together
to produce a product for sale.
