MESSAGE FROM PRINCIPAL ABED
Un mensaje de la principal Sra. Abed
WOW!…the 3rd nine weeks is over and there is still much to do
before the school year ends. As I arrive every day, I am excited to see
the great things that are taking place at Boushall.
As you know, Standards of Learning (SOL) testing begins the 11th of
this month. Teachers have been reviewing test taking strategies all
year as well as reminding students of the importance of getting a
good night’s sleep the night before the test. On test morning children
should have a good breakfast and come to school ready to do their
best. The testing schedule has been posted on our website, letters
were sent home and calls were made to the parents. It is extremely
important that your child attend school on time the days his/her
tests are scheduled. Children absent on a scheduled test day will
need to make up that test. We are confident that all of our students
will use effective effort during their testing.
Join me in thanking our awesome T C Boushall teachers as we
celebrate Teacher Appreciation Week from May 4-8. While everyone
works hard at Boushall, our teachers are with the children each day
and do an extraordinary job. They work many hours ensuring that all
of our students’ needs are met and their efforts are much
appreciated! Please consider having your child write a thank you
note to his/her teacher.
May 6th is Nurse Appreciation Day. With over 600 students in our
school, Nurse Austin does an amazing job of caring for students with
health issues.
Our students continue to make us proud. Three students placed at
the FCCLA conference, three at the District History Project Fair, and
at the Nationwide Hershey Park competition our choir placed second
while the band came in third! Thanks for all you do! Our students
would not be as successful as they are without your support.
WOW ... ya terminó el tercer periodo de clases y todavía hay mucho que
hacer antes de terminar el año escolar . Me emociono cuando llego a la
escuela y veo los grandes adelantos que se están llevando a cabo en
Boushall. Las pruebas de las Normas de Aprendizaje (SOL ) comienzan el 11
de mayo. Los maestros durante todo el año, han estado repasando con los
estudiantes las estrategias para tomar exámenes, recordarles de la
importancia de dormir bien la noche anterior del examen, comer un buen
desayuno la mañana del examen y llegar a la es-cuela a tiempo y
preparados para hacer su mejor esfuerzo. Pueden encontrar las fechas de
las pruebas en nuestra página web. También se enviarán cartas a su casa y
recibirán una llama-da telefónica con información importante sobre las
pruebas. Es muy importante que su hijo asista a la escuela a tiempo para
tomar su prueba en las fechas indicadas. Los niños(as) ausentes tendrán que
reponer sus pruebas. Estamos seguros de que todos nuestros estudiantes
harán su mejor esfuerzo durante estas pruebas.
Únete a mí para agradecer a nuestros increíbles maestros TC Boushall en la
celebración de la Semana del Maestro de mayo 4-8. Aunque todos
trabajamos duro en Boushall, nuestros maestros están con los niños cada
día y hacen un trabajo extraordinario. Reconocemos y apreciamos las
muchas horas que nuestros maestros trabajan para garantizar el éxito de
nuestros estudiantes. Si deseas, podrás sugerir a su hijo escribir una nota de
agradecimiento a su maestro.
El 6 de mayo es el Día de las enfermeras. Con más de 600 alumnos de
nuestra escuela, nuestra enfermera, la Sra. Austin, cuida a los estudiantes
con problemas de salud con increíble dedicación.
Estamos orgullosos de los nuevos logros de nuestros estudiantes. Tres
ganaron premios en la conferencia de FCCLA. Otros tres alumnos también
ganaron premios en la Feria de Distrito de Historia, En la competencia
Nacional de música en Hershey Park, nuestro coro ganó segundo lugar y la
banda ganó tercer lugar.
Gracias por toda su ayuda. Sin su ayuda nuestros niños no tendrían tantos
exitosos.
