MESSAGE FROM THE PRINCIPAL:
This has been an exciting few months for Sherard Elementary.
We have had several events, and still have been able to focus
on academics in every classroom. On top of having the best
students, we have an AWESOME DYNAMIC STAFF that expects
nothing but greatness from our students. Each day, every
teacher comes to work focused and driven- motivated by
their goals for themselves and their students. HATS OFF TO THE
OUTSTANDING FACULTY AND STAFF OF SHERARD ELEMENTARY

RED RIBBON WEEK
During Red Ribbon Week, students got to gain more knowledge
about the importance of being DRUG FREE! Each day, we
celebrated being DRUG FREE by dressing to match the theme of
Dragon’s Motto: Tell me and I
forget, teach me and I might
remember, involve me and I
learn.

the day, wearing our ribbons, and making pledges. The final day of
RED RIBBON WEEK, a representative from the Sherriff Department
spoke to students about how harmful drugs and alcohol can be. Our
students make us proud!!!
HARVEST FESTIVAL AT SHERARD ELEMENTARY SCHOOL

Our local Wal-Mart donated
several items to Sherard
Elementary School; however,
all of our students are excited
about the large, motorized
dinosaur we received. This
dinosaur is on display in the
hallway and one lucky SES
student will earn it before our
Christmas Break!!!
Special shoutout to the PTO of Sherard and the Faculty and Staff for
making this year’s Harvest Festival a success!! The students had the
BEST time every with games, rides, and the haunted house!! This was
one of the BEST Harvest Festivals in history!!!
NATIONAL EDUCATION WEEK AT SHERARD ELEMENTARY SCHOOL
November 16-20, 2015 is designated as National Education Week.
We celebrated this week by having snacks for staff members,
registering for MPE, having guest speakers for students, and hosting a
Parent Day. Mr. Terrance Calvin, former Sherard Elementary School
student and Coahoma County Jr. Sr. High School Basketball
standout, came to speak with our 6th graders. He is now a successful
self-employed businessman. He spoke to our 6th grade class about
being a leader, being focused, and how to prepare themselves now,
for the successful person they want to become. THANK YOU MR.

Mensaje DE LA DIRECTORA DE LA ESCUELA:
Este ha sido un emocionante pocos meses para Sherard elemental.
Hemos tenido varios eventos y aún han podido centrarse en
académicos en cada aula. Además de contar con los mejores
estudiantes tenemos una increíble personal dinámico que no
espera nada pero la grandeza de nuestros estudiantes. Cada día,
cada profesor viene a trabajar centrado e impulsado- motivados
por sus objetivos para sí mismos y para sus estudiantes. Sombreros

La Semana de la cinta roja
Durante la Semana de la Cinta Roja, estudiantes llegó a adquirir un
mayor conocimiento acerca de la importancia de ser libre de la droga!
Cada día, celebramos que se libre de la droga por vestirse para que
coincida con el tema del día, vistiendo nuestros lazos, y hacer promesas.

El último día De la Semana de la cinta roja, un representante del
Departamento habló a los estudiantes Sherriff acerca de lo dañino de las
drogas y el alcohol puede ser. Nuestros estudiantes nos hacen orgullosos!!!
FESTIVAL DE LA COSECHA EN LA ESCUELA ELEMENTAL SHERARD
Shoutout especial a la TDF de Sherard y la facultad y el personal para hacer
de este año del Festival de la cosecha un éxito!! Los alumnos tuvieron la
mejor hora cada con diferentes juegos, paseos, y la casa embrujada!! Este
fue uno de los mejores festivales de cosecha en la historia!!!
GRACIAS WAL-MART
nuestro local de Wal-Mart ha
donado varios elementos a
la Escuela Elemental Sherard;
sin embargo, todos nuestros
alumnos están
entusiasmados con
la gran dinosaurio
motorizado que hemos
recibido. Este dinosaurio se
encuentra en exhibición en
el vestíbulo y un afortunado
SES estudiante lo ganan
antes de nuestro receso de
Navidad!!!
Semana nacional de educación en la escuela primaria SHERARD
Noviembre 16-20, 2015 es designado como Semana Nacional de
Educación. Hemos celebrado esta semana por haber meriendas para
los funcionarios, la inscripción para el MPE, oradores invitados para los
estudiantes, y un día de padres. El Sr. Terrance Calvin, ex estudiante de la
Escuela Elemental Sherard y Condado de Coahoma Jr. Sor High School
Basketball proyección vinieron a hablar con nuestro sexto grado. Él es
ahora un exitoso empresario por cuenta propia. Él habló a nuestra clase de
6to grado acerca de ser un líder, ya que se centró, y cómo se preparan
ahora para el éxito de la persona que desea ser. Gracias, Sr. Calvin!!!
