of many cultural
backgrounds.
Our mission is to
enrich the spiritual
life of all
parishioners,
through the active
participation in
prayer and the
sacraments,
promoting
opportunities to
grow in faith and
hope, and providing
a place to come
together in the love
of God and

committed to the
needs of our

reach beyond to
serve the needs of
others. We are
called by the Spirit
to witness the
forgiving, healing

KEEP HOLY SPIRIT IN MIND DURING
YOUR SUMMER TRAVELS
Have fun on your summer vacations! We know
you’ll be out of town for a few Sundays this summer,
but that doesn’t mean you can’t participate in your
regular weekend Mass offering at Holy Spirit. With
Online Giving, you can contribute from wherever
you are...you can even set up payments in advance if
you wish and when you give online, it helps us make
our budget, even when the attendance is low.
Visit our parish website at: www.holyspiritfv.org
and click on the green OnlineGiving for details and
to sign up.
TODAY’S READINGS
First Reading — Never forget the LORD your God, who
brought you out of slavery (Deuteronomy 8:2-3,
14b-16a).
Psalm — Praise the Lord, Jerusalem (Psalm 147).
Second Reading — Because the loaf of bread is one, we
who partake of it, though we are many, are one body
(1 Corinthians 10:16-17).
Gospel — Jesus said, “I am the living bread; whoever
eats this bread will live forever” (John 6:51-58).
Stewardship Reflection for June 22,
THE MOST HOLY BODY AND
BLOOD OF CHRIST
Among the compelling EucharisƟc themes proclaimed in
today’s readings is the noƟon of “parƟcipaƟon” as
found in Saint Paul’s leƩer to the Corinthians. Good
stewards are part of a EucharisƟc family: loving,
welcoming, serving. An important part of living as a
steward comes about in the many ways we can parƟcipate in the life of the Church. No maƩer how much Ɵme
we have to give, no maƩer what our skills or interests,
no maƩer what our level of commitment, there is a way
to parƟcipate as a good steward to enrich our lives and
the lives of others to build up the Body of Christ.
