During this Christmas season, the Volunteers of the Blessed Sacrament Food Pantry wish to extend their sincere thanks to all those that have assisted us in helping feed many in need. It is only through the support of our Pastor, all of the staff, the many committees that guide and advise and especially our generous parishioners, that we are able to fulfill our mission which is guided by the words of Jesus in the book of Matthew 25:40; Whatsoever you do to the least of my brethren that you do unto me. Very, very special thanks to all of the food pantry volunteers who give their time and support in so many different ways to make the Food Pantry the success it is. It is because of the caring commitment of our volunteers that we are able to serve so many. Our volunteers are truly a blessing to this ministry. Merry Christmas!! The reception area was the garage for the priests before the new church was built. FRIDAY, JANUARY 2 12:10 pm, Daily Mass The Lord continued to bless this parish and the number of parishioners continued to grow. In order to serve the parishioners adequately, more infrastructures were needed with space for the offices. The rectory was then converted to offices and the parish bought a townhouse to be a rectory. Probably at that time there was no idea that this parish would be served by two priests. The current rectory is not an adequate accommodation for two priests. SATURDAY, JANUARY 3 3:30 pm, Confessions 4:30 pm, Rosary 5:00 pm, Vigil Mass for Sunday 6:15-8:30 pm, High School Religious Education Classes (resume after break) SUNDAY, JANUARY 4, THE EPIPHANY OF OUR LORD Twin Parish in Haiti Collection 8:00 & 10:00 am, English Masses 10:00 am, Children’s Church & Nursery 12:30 pm, Rosario 1:00 pm, Misa en español 4:30-6:00 pm, Legion de Maria, Rm 4/5, J. Hall 6:00 pm, Grupo Kerygma The parish through the Parish Council and the Finance Council has seen the need to sell the present rectory and buy a new rectory which can serve with enough room for a minimum of two priests. The purchase of the rectory will not use any parish money except as budgeted in the previous and current budgets. After the sale of the current rectory the mortgage will be paid without touching other funds except through the budget as it stands currently. Inclement Weather Policy: It’s bound to happen sometime! If we are closed, we will have it announced on radio station WSVA 550-AM and the closings tab on the local TV station’s website, whsv.com. Also, we will put a message on the phone recording. As always, if it’s bad enough where you live, don’t risk it, even if we are having Mass or other activities. If JMU is in session and they are closed, we will be closed. 4 HOLY FAMILY OF JESUS, MARY & JOSEPH DECEMBER 28, 2014 CHRISTMAS FLOWERS From Adornato Family & Carter Family Heather Bassett Jack & Virginia Berkley Carl & Marie Bishop Carlos & Jin-Oh Briones Wanda Buckles Roger & Carole Burke Cobb, Thomas & Holloway Families Bob & Vicki Cook Brooks & Pat Corley Bill & Ann Crabill Geraldine DeLazzari Lloyd & Laura Delvaux Stephen & Crisanta Drown Lennis Echterling & Mary Lou Wylie Bryan & Theresa Eckstein Ernest & Maureen Fishback Jim & Mae Fukumoto James & Addie Gerstenmaier Mary Ann Glova Rita Gray Michael R. En sus lecturas no hay luto ni llanto, solo alegría y esperanza. ©2011 Liturgical Publications Inc CHILDREN’S CORNER ◆❖❲ ✥❈❈ ✁✂✄☎● ◆ ❲ ✆✂❚✝ ☎✂❙ ➃➄➅➆➆➇ ➆➈ ➉➊➋ ➌➍➎➏ ➐➊➑➑➒ ➆➈ ➓➑➍➄➑ ➍➒➎ ➔➑➄➆➒➄→➇→➍➣→➆➒ ✞❡②❡r✟ ✠❛✈❡ ✠♦♠♠✉✡☛t② ✠❡✡t❡r ✯☞✌✍✎✏✑ ✒✌✓✔ ✕✖✒✗ ✓✘✎✓✎✖✙✚ ✛✒✌✜✔✢ ✣✲✤ ✺✦✧★✩✪✫★✬✺✭✭ ✮ ✰❝✱✖✖✏✳❢✳✘✒✴✌✜✑✵✶✍✌✎✏✚❝✖✍ ✷✸✹✻ ✻✼❆✽✾ ✹✻ P✿❀❁❂❀ ❃❁✿✿ ❄P✐ ❅❇ ❉✿❁❊❀ ❁❋ ❁❍ ❅❇❍❁■❏ ✇①③ ④①③⑤ ⑥⑦⑧①③⑨⑩❶❷①⑦❸ ❹❺⑤⑩❻⑤ ❼⑩❺❺ ❽❾❾❿➀➁➁❿➀➂➁➀ ❑▲▲▼◗❘❘▼◗❯❘◗ ❱❳❨❩❬❨ ❭❩❳❳ ❪❱❫ ❴❵ ❜❳❩❭❨ ❩❞ ❩❣ ❴❵❣❩❤❥ ❦❧❧♥♣qq♥♣sq♣ 2-D-4-2 For Ad Information Call LPi Direct at 1-800-477-4574 7 www.4lpi.com ©2014 Liturgical Publications Inc 14-1246
