Our Lady of Mount Carmel School News OLMC School has served families in the Hampton Roads area for nearly 60 years, teaching the whole child in the tradition of the Catholic Church and of the Nashville Dominicans. With a mission rooted in the Gospel and in the Church, the school receives and participates in the great command of Jesus Christ to “go and teach all nations.” With morning and afternoon prayers, weekly attendance at Mass, and daily religion classes, the OLMC school community values the life and teaching of Jesus Christ. OLMC School has long enjoyed a reputation for academic excellence, which was magnified in 2009 when it was awarded the National Blue Ribbon of Excellence for its sustained, distinguished academic achievement. The Blue Ribbon is a national recognition of what the students have always received at OLMC – a strong foundation in academics, morals, and discipline. The students and teachers, supported by the wider parent community and the parish, engage in teaching and learning in a creative, warm, Christ-centered environment. Applications for the 2014-2015 School Year are currently being accepted. If you would like a tour of our school or have any questions about a particular grade or curriculum requirements, please call Mrs. Tucker at 596-2754.
