March 29th will be held in the Church at
3:00 p.m.
Dear Parishioners,
The Peace of the Lord Be With You!
Palm Sunday is the beginning of HOLY WEEK.
During Holy Week we remember Jesus’s passion,
death and resurrection. The story is so magnificent that we need a
whole week to tell it.
On Palm celebrate the triumphal entry of Jesus into
Jerusalem. The Living Stations of the Cross (Viacrucis) will take
place at 1:15 p.m. on Palm Sunday.
On Monday, the Chrism Mass is celebrated at the
cathedral. All of the holy oils used during the year for the
sacraments are blessed at this mass.
On Holy Thursday, we celebrate the Mass of the Lord’s
Supper. At the Last Supper, Jesus instituted the Eucharist and the
priesthood.
On Good Friday, we celebrate the Lord’s passion. There
are also Stations of the Cross on Good Friday.
On Saturday evening, we celebrate the Easter Vigil.
During this mass we welcome the RCIA Catechumen and
candidates into the Church. On Sunday we celebrate the
Resurrection of Jesus.
“He was bearing our faults in His own body on the cross,
so that we might die to our faults and live for holiness; through
His wounds you have been healed”. (Peter 2:24)
There will be confessions following the mass on Thursday
evening, following the service on Good Friday and from 3:304:30 Saturday afternoon.
In Christ,
