As Thomas believed because he saw the
risen Jesus, so too were many brought
to faith through the various signs and
wonders wrought by the apostles.
They proclaimed as Lord “the stone
rejected by the builders”, “the First and
the Last of the One who lives.”

Bilingual Chaplet
3pm
How to Recite the Divine Mercy Chaplet
The Chaplet of Mercy is recited using ordinary rosary beads of five decades. The Chaplet is
preceded by two opening prayers from the Diary of Saint Faustina and followed by a closing
prayer.
1. Sign of the Cross
2. Optional Opening Prayers
You expired, Jesus, but the source of life gushed forth for souls,
and the ocean of mercy opened up for the whole world. O Fount of Life,
unfathomable Divine Mercy, envelop the whole world and empty Yourself out upon us.
O Blood and Water, which gushed forth from the Heart of Jesus as a fountain of Mercy for us,
I trust in You! (3x)
3. Our Father
4. Hail Mary
5. The Apostles Creed
6. On the Our Father Bead
Eternal Father, I offer you the Body and Blood, Soul and Divinity of Your Dearly Beloved
Son, Our Lord, Jesus Christ, in atonement for our sins and those of the whole world.
7. On the Hail Mary Beads
For the sake of His sorrowful Passion, have mercy on us and on the whole world.
8. Repeat for the remaining four decades
9. Conclude with Holy God (3x)
Holy God, Holy Mighty One, Holy Immortal One, have mercy on us and on the whole world.
10. Optional Closing Prayer
Eternal God, in whom mercy is endless and the treasury of compassion inexhaustible,
look kindly upon us and increase Your mercy in us,
that in difficult moments we might not despair nor become despondent,
but with great confidence submit ourselves to Your holy will, which is Love and Mercy itself.
Thanks for your generosity!

The Epic Life Story

Thoughts From this Sunday’s Readings by Fr. John
Previous reflections can be found on his blog at
FrJohnMurphy.blogspot.com
In today’s readings for the Second Sunday of Easter we hear two
accounts of Jesus appearing to his followers. The first account
comes from the Gospel of John when Jesus appeared to his disciples in a locked room where they were cowering in fear. The
second account is from a vision of Jesus in his glory found in the
Revelation to John. In both these accounts Jesus assures his
followers that he has conquered death and that they are not to be
afraid.
What really struck me in the readings today was the remarkable
transformation of the disciples from timid cowards hiding in a
locked room that we see in John’s Gospel to bold and forthright
apostles carrying on Jesus’ work that we see in the Acts of the
Apostles (our first reading today). The force of the Holy Spirit that

and
Friday, April 15, 12pm.
The Sacrament of the Anointing of the Sick will be available during Mass for every baptized Catholic over the age of reason. Prayer teams will also be available immediately after Mass to pray with
people for healing and other needs.
And so we pray:
God, merciful Father,
in your Son, Jesus Christ, you have revealed your love
and poured it out upon us in the Holy Spirit, the Comforter,
We entrust to you today the destiny of the world
and of every man and woman.
Bend down to us sinners,
heal our weakness,
conquer all evil,
and grant that all the peoples of the earth
may experience your mercy.
In You, the Triune God,
may they ever find the source of hope.
Eternal Father,
by the Passion and Resurrection of your Son,
have mercy on us and upon the whole world!

Summer Lunch Program 2016
Holy Trinity will be serving the Suburban
Woods Mobile Home Park again this
summer. From the beginning we’ll need at
least 100 dedicated volunteers. Even
more is better. With adequate staffing we
can alternate days of work, and with more,
alternate weeks of work. Last year we had
over 300 volunteers and we enjoin you to be generous with your
time for this needed endeavor this year.
