Dear Brothers and Sisters,
Advent has come to an end and Holy Christmas
sets before us the luminous mystery of the coming
of the Son of God, the great “benevolent purpose”
with which he wishes to draw us to him, to enable
us to live in full communion of joy and peace with
him.
Christmas invites us once again, in the midst of so
many challenges, to renew the certainty that God is
present: he entered the world, making himself man,
a man like us, to fulfill his plan of love.
Let us give thanks and praise to God not only for
all of the blessings we received, but also for the
challenges that we had to face, which helped us
become more sturdy and closer to God. We will
never forget the 2012 Visitacion Flood on our
church property in August. Our community has
grown stronger through the emergency and the process of restoration. We are grateful for two new
Sisters of the Daughters of Charity, Sr. Marianne
and Sr. Elizabeth, joining our parochial School this
year. We are happy to see that all children, both in
our grammar school and in the religious education
program, have been well taken care of. Our parish
couldn’t be as vital as it is today without its various
ministry groups. We are so blessed to have them.
During this Year of Faith, let us continue to ask
God to strengthen our faith, our hope, and our
charity, and help us to know that he wants to enter
our community anew and wants to make his light
shine in our midst. Wishing you and your families a
very blessed Christmas and a Happy New Year!
Queridos hermanos y hermanas:
Adviento ha llegado a su fin y la Santa Navidad nos
presenta el misterio luminoso de la venida del Hijo
de Dios, el gran "propósito benévolo" con el que
quiere atraernos hacia él, para que podamos vivir
en plena comunión de la alegría y la paz con él.
La Navidad nos invita una vez más, en medio de
tantos desafíos, a renovar la certeza de que Dios
está presente: él entró en el mundo, haciéndose
hombre, un hombre como nosotros, para cumplir su
designio de amor.
Demos gracias y alabanzas a Dios no sólo por todas
las bendiciones que hemos recibido, sino también
por los desafíos que tuvimos que enfrentar, los que
nos ayudaron a ser más fuertes y estar más cercas
de Dios. Nunca olvidaremos el Diluvio Visitacion
2012 en nuestra propiedad de la iglesia en Agosto.
Nuestra comunidad se ha fortalecido a través de la
emergencia y el proceso de restauración. Estamos
muy agradecidos por dos nuevas hermanas de las
Hijas de la Caridad, Sr. Marianne y Sr. Elizabeth,
uniéndose a nuestra escuela parroquial este ano.
Estamos contentos de ver que todos los niños, tanto
en nuestra escuela primaria como en el programa
de educación religiosa, han sido bien atendidos.
Nuestra parroquia no podría ser tan importante
como lo es hoy sin sus varios grupos de ministerio.
Estamos tan bendecidos de tenerlos.
Durante este Año de la Fe, vamos a seguir pidiendo
a Dios que fortalezca nuestra fe, nuestra esperanza,
y nuestra caridad, y nos ayude a saber que él quiere
entrar en nuestra comunidad de nuevo y quiere hacer brillar su luz en nuestro medio. ¡Deseándole a
usted y a sus familias una muy bendita Navidad y
un Feliz Año Nuevo!
