We are looking for regular volunteers
for the following hours:

Si sus niños necesitan prepararse para recibir su
Primera Comunión, pueden pasar e inscribirlos en
la oficina del Ministerio Hispano por las tardes.
También los domingo después de misa. Durante
el mes de Julio pueden recibir 40% de descuento.
Estamos inscribiendo a todos los niños de 6 a 10
años de edad. Los niños que ya hicieron su
Primera Comunión, también pueden venir.

En nuestra lotería y en las muchas rifas de
nuestra cultura – se tiene la costumbre de
preguntarnos a nosotros mismos y de preguntarles
a los demás qué haríamos si ganamos.
En la primera lectura de hoy, Salomón
ciertamente se gana el premio mayor. ¿Qué
premio podrá ser más grande que tener a Dios
todopoderoso ofrecerte lo que quieras?

De todas las cosas que podemos pedir,
Salomón escogió pedir sabiduría y le fue
concedida. ¿No sería bueno preguntarnos que
pediríamos si Dios nos hiciera esa oferta?
En realidad Dios nos hace esa misma oferta
cada día, al darnos otro día de vida, un poco de los
bienes de la tierra, algún don o talento, un llamado
a la bondad, algo de la voluntad divina. Cada uno
de esos bienes es un “premio”.
Debemos detenernos y examinar lo que vamos
a hacer con nuestro premio nos debería empujar a
responder: “¡Una participación en
tu Reino, oh Dios!”. Hoy descubrimos que el Reino de
Dios es invalorable, un tesoro que no tiene precio.
Desafortunadamente, nuestra cultura nos bombardea
con cosas que considera tesoros inapreciables: vehículo
utilitario deportivo, cremas antiarrugas y contra la
calvicie, dietas milagrosas, y mucho, mucho más.
Tener una participación en el Reino de Dios y
contribuir a la venida del Reino son los mayores
tesoros que podemos ganar.
