REFLECTIONS ON THE REIGN OF GOD
A threefold message is developed in
today’s readings. First, everyone is called to proclaim God’s glory and receive salva on. Second,
salva on is not for the unprepared. Like a loving
parent, God gently corrects and disciplines
those who have been called. O en, suffering
may be part of the forma on process. We learn
to accept it as Jesus once accepted his cross.
Third, some people who are treated with contempt and disdain by the selfrighteous actually do have a place in God’s kingdom.
We need to take these lessons to heart. Recall your ini al excitement
upon hearing God’s word. How has the Good News that once struck your fancy taken deeper root in your life? Look again at the crosses you have been given. How are others transformed when they see how you have accepted and
grown from your sufferings?
Finally, are there some people you imagine as not invited into God’s
kingdom? Why do you feel this way about them? For a moment, imagine them
on the inside and yourself on the outside. How can this be possible? Always try
your best to enter by the narrow gate, gladly proclaiming God’s glory.

SACRAMENT OF BAPTISM
REGISTER NOW FOR FALL 2013-2014
FREE VPK
St. Clement Early Childhood Center currently
participates in the state Voluntary Pre-Kindergarten
Program for children that turn 4 year old on or before
September 1st, which allows those children to attend
our program at NO COST.
Three Year Old Program
Children 3 year old on or before September 1st
are eligible to participate in our 3 or 4
day-a-week program.
St. Clement Early Childhood Center is a faith-filled,
developmentally appropriate and nurturing Catholic
environment for children ages three and four year old.
St. Clement Early Childhood Center is nationally
accredited by NAC; A Hillsborough County 5 STAR;
and a Gold Seal School. Space is limited and will be
offered on a first come first serve basis.

To have a child bap zed at St. Clement,
parents are expected to be registered,
ac ve par cipants in their worshipping
community of faith by regular a endance at Sunday Mass.

REFLEXIONES SOBRE EL REINO DE DIOS
En las lecturas de hoy se nos presenta
un triple mensaje. En primer lugar, todos somos
llamados a proclamar la gloria de Dios y a recibir
la salvación. En segundo lugar, la salvación no es
para los que no están preparados. Como un padre amoroso, Dios corrige con ternura y disciplina a aquellos a los que ha llamado. Frecuentemente, el sufrimiento es parte del proceso de
formación. Aprendemos a aceptarlo como Jesús aceptó su cruz. En tercer lugar, aquellos que son tratados con desprecio y desdén por los que se creen
justos, tendrán también un lugar en el reino de Dios.
Necesitamos aprender estas lecciones con el corazón. Recuerda cómo te emocionabas al principio, cuando escuchabas la Palabra de Dios. ¿De
qué manera la Buena Nueva que una vez te estremeció ha echado raíces en
tu vida? Contempla de nuevo las cruces que te han tocado. ¿Cómo toca y
transforma a otros la forma en que aceptas y creces en tus sufrimientos?
Finalmente, ¿existen algunas personas que supones no serán invitadas al Reino de Dios? ¿Por qué piensas eso de ellos? Por un momento, imagínatelos a ellos adentro y a afuera. ¿Cómo sería esto posible? Haz siempre
tu mayor esfuerzo para entrar por la puerta angosta, proclamando alegremente la gloria de Dios.
