Cathedral Office closed Monday, July 4th
in observance of Independence Day.
Office will reopen at 8:30am on Tuesday, July 5th.
Oficina volverá a abrir a las 8:30 horas
del martes 5 de julio.
Air Conditioning in the Church: The air conditioning system is
hard at work keeping our church cool so please dress comfortably for Mass.
If you are cold natured, we suggest bringing a jacket or sweater with you.
There is no way to easily adjust the temperature during Mass or maintain a
constant temperature in all areas of the church. The blower is essentially on
or off, and when it is off, the church becomes warm rather quickly, especially
around the altar and in the narthex and balcony. Thank you for your
understanding!
Cathedral Closed weekdays for interior repairs.
During that time, Daily Mass will be celebrated in
Bishops Hall, and Confessions will be heard in the
first and second grade classrooms directly across
from the south door of Bishops Hall. Glass doors to
Bishops Hall will be open through the week.

Fight the Bite!
1. Defend—use an EPA-approved insect repellent.
2. Dress—Dress in long sleeves and pants when outdoors
(especially at dawn and dusk)
3. Drain—Drain standing water around home (such as
flowerpots, pet dishes, buckets, and bird baths).
Mosquito bites may cause illness. Most people that get a mosquito disease will
not feel sick, but some cases can cause serious illness or death. Children, elderly
and those with certain health conditions may be at a higher risk of getting sick if
they become infected.
Couples who are pregnant or may become pregnant should be extra cautious as
the Zika virus may cause possible birth defects. For more information, please
visit: http://www.austintexas.gov/zika
