searching for the Risen Christ who is already alive in us
and discovering his presence in the “bits and pieces of
everyday life. The five Mondays from 7:00pm to

book, A Life to Live privately or in groups discussing
what moves us and sitting back and enjoying peaceful,
holy presence of God. Very Truly Yours, Rev. Neil
Connolly.

Second Collection
There will be a second collection next week March 6
for Catholic Relief Services.
Can you hear us now?
What’s different in church today? If you look closely
you may notice that we have updated our sound system! There were many reasons to do this now, not the
least of which was our old analog sound system was
woefully out of date. We were advised that if we had a
problem with the microphones there would be no way
to fix them as the system was THAT old! So, we have a
newly installed digital system that will help all of us
hear, sing, and worship well together. The price of this
upgrade is …that of a really nice new car…(!!) Even
though a sound system doesn’t ‘look pretty’ and we
can’t see it…we know it is vital for our worship. This
is an investment in who we are as a parish that prays
together. Thank you for your support. Sing out now,
we want to hear you!!
Easter Offerings
It occurred to us that we should let you know that in
addition to using the Easter envelopes at the doors of
the church, you are also free to use Parish Pay to make
a special donation. You can do this even if you aren’t a
regular Parish pay user! Simply go to
www.parishpay.com and find the right page for St
Francis de Sales church. (you only need to plug in our
zip code and click on our parish name). Click on make
a donation; then under ‘secondary collection’ there is
an item called ‘Easter Fund’. That’s where you can put
in your amount. Directly underneath is a place to ‘add
dedication’ if you wish to make your donation in honor of a loved one, living or deceased. The last thing to
do is let them know how you want to pay and your
done! Try it and see if you like this way of supporting
your church!
A Lenten Note
Stations of the Cross are being prayed each Friday during Lent immediately following the 8:30 a.m. Mass. All
are welcome to join us in prayer at approximately 9:00
a.m.

One More Thing…for today…about Parish Pay
There is an expression, ‘many hands make light work’,
and on the one hand that is true. But in the case of our
church collections we are aiming for the opposite of
this, we might say: less hands touching your money!
Parish Pay is the safest, most secure way to make sure
your financial support of the parish gets exactly where
you want it to go...from your bank to our bank! You
can designate contributions for specific projects
(flowers, sound system, Rice Bowl…), you can get an
accounting of your contributions for tax purposed instantly, you can adjust or cancel your usage as your situation allows. And of course, if you forget your wallet
on the way to church, we have those great tokens for
you to use in the collection. We encourage you to try
Parish Pay this Lent and see if it doesn’t make your life
easier. More prayerful too, you will be choosing to give
to God from your ‘first fruits’ and not from the lint in
your pocket…
Holy Week Help!!
Readers, hospitality ministers, altar servers and acolytes, Eucharistic ministers: please contact your coordinators and let them know when you are available to
help serve during Holy Week and Easter. We have great
need of your assistance in all our ministries during all
our extra services. If you’ve been waiting to volunteer,
now is the time! Speak to one of the staff today! And
thank you!!
