Jesus ascended into heaven, blessing His disciples and
promising that they would soon receive the power of
the Holy Spirit. We who have received that promised
gi of the Spirit are now empowered to be His
witnesses to the ends of the earth — to use our me
and talents to spread the good news of salvaon.

Each year during the
Annual Catholic Appeal
campaign, we pause and
consider all the good that
is done because we give:
the homeless are
sheltered; the elderly are cared for; our seminarians
are prepared for future ministry, to name a few. Great
things are accomplished in the name of Jesus!

SAVE THE DATE
Faustina: Messenger of Divine Mercy, the moving,
live production will be presented at St. Stephen the Martyr Church in Renton on Thursday, June 2 at 7:30 PM. In
addition to the performance, there will be a presentation
and veneration of relics of St Faustina and St John
Paul II immediately following the 90 minute drama. More information to come.

EDUCATION NIGHT
St. Luke Parish in Shoreline will host a mental health
educational night on May 11 from 6:30–8 p.m., with a
panel of speakers including Jesuit Father Patrick
Howell; Deacon Roy Harrington, pastoral coordinator at
St. Benedict Parish in Seattle; and Trez Buckland, a
nursing professor and mental health advocate.
Please pray for all of the children
preparing to receive First Communion.

arte de orar. Se aprende a orar de una manera
ordenada, variada y progresiva. Aprende a relacionarte
con el Señor para que Él te de paz. Durante este
proceso de 15 semanas, 2 horas por semana, te
transformaras en una persona más compasiva, y más
lista para perdonar.

witness to repentance for the

earth. With God’s strength we can do
all things. Why be frightened? Lord,
help our timidity and impatience!
