This is over 108% of our goal of $40,515.00. The outpouring of support from so many helps sustain the important ministries that make Saint Columbkille Parish a vibrant place of worship. The Parish Office will be closed Monday, July 4. _______________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________ The Church of St. Mary Magdelene in Petite Rivier, Gaibo, Haiti is near completion. Fr. Succès’ mother’s last wish is actually coming true. The church is up, the roof is on, the altar is built, a good loud bell has been purchased for the tower. There are still several interior projects that need to be completed. The bathroom and sacristy need to be completed, benches need to be purchased and installed. If anyone would like to make a contribution to this most worthwhile project please see Fr. Succès. All are welcome to join in. _______________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________ __________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________ Forgive us as we forgive July 3, 2016 3 St. Columbkille Parish Brighton, MA YAC Emerald Necklace volunteer shift, 7/9 The 1,100 acres of Boston's Emerald Necklace need willing hands and hearts to maintain the park. You can do your part by joining the Service Committee for a volunteer shift with the Emerald Necklace Conservancy on Saturday, July 9, from 10 a.m.-1 p.m. We need 15 helpers to do ecological restoration work such as planting trees or wildflowers, controlling erosion, building trails or managing invasive species. The conservancy will teach us everything we need to know about safety and technique, provide us with tools and materials, and help us make a difference in our amazing parks! Questions? Confession will also be available. Each month's Adoration includes prayers and intentions that correspond to a particular theme, many of which are related to Catholic Social Teaching. This event is open to all. No RSVP is required. Young Adult Boat Cruise, 7/23 The St. C's YAC is proud to partner with St. Cecilia's, St. Paul's, St. Anthony's Shrine and the Paulist Center in organizing the "Dancing in the Dark" Boston Harbor cruise for young adult Catholics. Un joven muy valiente planteó una cuestión interesante: ¿cómo se sabe con certeza si la persona que amas es la más adecuada para ti? ¿Cómo puede estar uno seguro de que esta es el persona con la que se debe casar? Hubo una pausa en la conversación ya que el equipo ponderó la pregunta y luego se ofrecieron diversas respuestas acerca de la confianza, la fe, la vocación y hacerse el firme propósito de que la relación funcione. Uno de los chicos, que había estado casado por 38 años, tenía una muy buena respuesta. Dijo haber estado seguro de que ella era la persona adecuada para casarse porque todos los días, antes y después de la boda, ella lo hizo ser un mejor hombre, un mejor esposo, un mejor padre y un mejor cristiano. Y dijo que El esperaba haber hecho lo mismo por ella. Nuestra historia como Iglesia y como nación está llena de ejemplos de aquellos que han hecho otras personas mejor por sus palabras, su buen ejemplo, sus actos de valor o incluso una visión de gran alcance. El Grupo de Oracion de la Renovacion Carismatica se reune todos los Sabados a las 5:30 pm en la iglesia de abajo para mas informacion hablar con Edvin Juarez. Todos los Domingos tenemos la coronilla a la divina Misericordia a las 12:00 pm y antes de la hora santa a las 6:00 pm. Todos los viernes la misa como de costumbre a las 7:00 pm. Estan cordialmente invitados. El coro de la parroquia busca mas voces si hay alguien que pueda cantar y quiere ser parte de nuestro grupo puede hablar con El padre Success o Alex Aguirre. Por favor, no permita que sus niños viajen solos o el ascensor para ir al baño solo. Vamos a mantener a nuestros niños seguros.
