About the Conference
The U.S./Mexico border is an important reference point for populations living and interacting with one another on both sides of this
international boundary. Impacts and perceptions of the border region are the subject of many contemporary research projects,
forms of advocacy and activism. The Binational Conference is an effort to explore the impact of the border on populations living
both in the U.S. and Mexico. It is to also designed to understand how Fronterizo populations perceive and respond to these impacts
from various perspectives. This includes through academic research, art, activism, advocacy and life experiences. The theme of the
4th Conference is "Labor and Immigration Policies: Border perspectives"
