Stewardship Corner
“And when the Lord saw her, he had
compassion on her and said to her, ‘Do not
weep.’”
Luke 7:13
This verse is a great reminder that the
Stewardship lifestyle is one of service, putting
God
first
and
to
“love
one
another.” Unfortunately today, many people
have “passion” for activities they enjoy—their job and offwork activities. Many times our “passion” to excel is at
the expense of someone else. Maybe we need to focus on
a little less passion for our individual concerns and a lot
more compassion for others.

Raising the dead. There are two stories, three really,
of someone coming back from death at the hand of
another. Although I might not see myself bringing an
unbreathing boy or dead man back among the living as
Jesus or Elijah did, I can keep vigil with the dying and
with those who mourn them. What great mercy work!
The third story is more metaphorical. Paul, who first
persecuted the young Church, then was knocked off
his horse by the living Christ, spent three years in
solitude listening and praying and taking guidance
from God. And, refreshed by God, came back stronger
to do God’s work.
 How will I carve out some time this week to listen
to and be with God?
 Who is dying and needs my visit and my prayer?
 Who is grieving and needs my presence and my
comfort?

Join biblical expert and Catholic
apologist Stephen Ray on a personal
pilgrimage through the pages of St.
John's Gospel. Stephen draws from his
extensive scholarship and his time
spent in the Holy Land filming
documentaries to bring forth many of
the profound theological truths that lie
beneath the surface of this gospel, and bring to light the
many levels of revelation contained within. This exciting
presentation will ignite your heart and soul with a burning
passion for Christ and a deep conviction to zealously defend
the Faith which has been handed down to us.

Steve Ray's very personal introduction to this "beloved
disciple" and the faith of the early Church has given me new
appreciation for the richness, the tenderness, and the passion

Benediction will be held in the
Adoration Chapel on Tuesday, June 14,
starting at 7:00 p.m. Mark your calendar

Caregivers Assistance Network (CAN)
One day you are a son or a daughter,
then one of your parents has a medical
issue and you find yourself taking care
of them on a regular basis. At first you
are happy to be able to help and give back, but as time
rolls on, you start to feel overwhelmed with
responsibilities of your immediate family and taking
care of a parent. When you have this new role, it is
common to feel lost, confused and overwhelmed. The
Caregivers Assistance Network facilitated by Catholic
Charities is there to assist you and guide you along this
journey. Call 866-635-9716 or go online to find a
group near you at https://ccswoh.org/cansupport/.
You are not alone.
NEW CARLISLE, OHIO
A Gentle Reminder of a Church Rule
Remind your children that we
genuflect when entering and
leaving our pew in church to
show respect and honor to God
the Son, who is present in the
Holy Eucharist. Point out the
tabernacle and the sanctuary
lamp (the tall red glass with a
candle burning in it near the
altar). When this lamp is
burning, it reminds us that
Jesus, in the Holy Eucharist, is
in the tabernacle waiting for us
to say a hello or offer a prayer of thanks or praise.
By allowing our right knee to hit the floor, we acknowledge
He is our Lord and God. If someone is physically unable to
genuflect, then a bow is sufficient.

cuerpo. Todos y cada uno de ellos
estaba dispuesto a proclamar la muerte
el Señor hasta que vuelva. Esa memoria
de Jesús no nos deja tranquilos. Es una
llamada a hacer lo mismo en memoria
de él. De esa manera Jesús se hace
nuestro contemporáneo y continúa
salvando al mundo.
Se continue la proxima semana.
