Living a stewardship lifestyle means stepping
out of our comfort zone when needed. Many of
us like to play it safe, not cause waves, stay in
the middle of the road. In today’s world we are
called to be informed and take a stance for life, marriage
and religious liberty.
We are not alone
In this great mercy work, we are not alone. The Letter
to the Hebrews (12:1-4) declares we can run the race,
we can live the Christian life, we can keep our eyes
fixed on Jesus because we are surrounded by a great
cloud of witnesses. We are not alone. We who eat and
drink Christ’s Blood and Body are “conformed to his
image on earth” in order to not only look like him, but
also be like him.

Welcome to the 2016-2017 catechism program at
Sacred Heart. We are delighted to have another year to
educate and inspire your children to live a Catholic life
full of faith! As parents, you have the greatest
responsibility to educate your child(ren) about our
Faith, but we are here to assist you as you fulfill this
most important task! Please contact Kelly Summers, the
Director of Religious Education, at 570-1665 with
questions or to obtain resources for your family to grow
in faith, your “domestic church.”
¡Bienvenidos al nuevo año de catequismo! Estamos
encantados de tener un año más para educar e inspirar
a sus hijos . Siendo su padre y madre, ustedes tiene la
responsibilidad más fuerte de educar sus hijos en la fe,
pero estamos aqui para acompañarles en cumplir esa
obra tan importante! Aqui hay información general,
pero por favor, póngase en contacto con Kelly
Summers, la Directora de Educación Religiosa, con

1 hour and 15 mins. each week
1) to grow close to God,
2) to learn about the Catholic faith and
3) to grow in Christian values with their peers,
4) while making friends with other Catholic children
What we need from you:
1) registration forms (in the gathering space in church)
2) commitment to come to scheduled classes; Sundays
10:15 – 11:30 a.m. (See Calendar)
3) attend occasional parent meetings
4) fee payment/arrangement made with Kelly Summers
(payment plan available)
For those preparing for First Communion and
Confirmation, we also need
1)additional forms filled out
2)baptismal certificate, copy (even if previously submitted)
How and when to register?
At Parish Festival, Sept. 11, 1:00-5:00 p.m.
Drop off payment at the rectory during office hours or
put in the collection basket in a marked envelope.
Nos comprometemos a darle a su hijo:
