UNION MONDIALE DE BILLAR

Dear Sirs,
I send this letter with regard to the celebration of the World Cup- Three Cushion that will be celebrated in Hurghada's
Egyptian city, decision on which the Royal Spanish Federation of Billiards wants to certify his deeper disagreement.
We think that the celebration of this event is incomprehensible for the current situation that lives through Egypt,
country to which the Government of Spain does not recommend to travel as it specifies the website of the Ministry of
Foreign Affairs.
We think that the safety of the players and official delegates should be priority for the Union Mondiale de Billiard and
for it we request that one assures us the safety of the persons who there should move on the occasion of the
celebration of this event. Of the same way, we believe that if this event is cancelled because of major force, the
organization and the U.M.B. have to of taking charge of the expenses of the players on having been both of them who
have taken the decision to celebrate this competition without bearing in mind the current situation of Egypt.
We will send copy of this writing to the Higher Council of Sports of Spain, to the Confédération Européenne de Billard
and to the National Federations; equally we will publish it in the website of our federation (www.rfeb.org)

Estimados Señores,
Les remito esta carta respecto a la celebración de la Copa del Mundo de Billar a Tres Bandas que se celebrará
en la ciudad egipcia de Hurghada, decisión sobre la que la Real Federación Española de Billar quiere hacer constar su
más profundo rechazo.
Pensamos que la celebración de este evento es incomprensible por la situación actual que vive Egipto, país al
cual el Gobierno de España no recomienda viajar tal y como especifica la página web del Ministerio de Asuntos
Exteriores.
Consideramos que la seguridad de los deportistas y delegados debería ser prioritaria para la Unión Mundial
de Billar y por ello solicitamos que se nos asegure la seguridad de las personas que allí se desplacen con motivo de la
celebración de este campeonato. De la misma manera, creemos que si se cancela este evento por causa de fuerza
mayor, la organización y la U.M.B. deben de hacerse responsable de los gastos de los jugadores al ser ambos los que
han tomado la decisión de celebrar esta competición sin tener en cuenta la situación actual de Egipto.
Remitiremos copia de este escrito al Consejo Superior de Deportes de España, a la Confederación Europea de
Billar y a las Federaciones Nacionales; igualmente la publicaremos en la página web de nuestra federación
(www.rfeb.org)
