Dear friends in the Lord:
Participation in the Peter’s Pence collection affords each of us an
opportunity to serve as witnesses of charity to our brothers and sisters
around the world. Gifts to this annual collection assist our Holy Father in
supporting the victims of war, natural disasters, and others most in need of
assistance.
On Easter Sunday 2013, Pope Francis, in encouraging all of us to be
witnesses of charity, said: “Let us be renewed by god’s mercy… and let us
become agents of this mercy, channels through which God can water the
earth, protect all creation, and make justice and peace flourish.” Our Holy
Father has continued to remind us, especially through his own actions, that
we must serve our brothers and sisters in order to be true disciples of
Christ.

El siguiente es un mensaje de Timothy Cardenal Dolan, Arzobispo de
Nueva York:
Queridos amigos en el Señor:
La participación en la colecta de “Peter’s Pence” nos ofrece la
oportunidad a cada uno de nosotros a ser testigos de la caridad para con
nuestros hermanos y hermanas alrededor del mundo. Los regalos a esta
colecta anual ayudan a nuestro Santo Padre a asistir a las víctimas de la
guerra, desastres naturales, y otros mas necesitado.
El Domingo de Pascua del 2013 el Papa Francisco animándonos a
todos nosotros a ser testigos de la caridad, dijo: “Renovémonos por la misericordia de Dios… y seamos agentes de esta misericordia, canales por
donde Dios puede regar la tierra, proteger toda la creación, y hacer que la
paz y la justicia florezcan”. Nuestro Santo Padre continúa recordándonos,
especialmente por sus propias acciones, que debemos servir a nuestros
hermanos y hermanas para llegar a ser verdaderos testigos de Cristo.

FIRST ANNUAL MEN’S CONFERENCE
The Archdiocese of New York Men’s Commission and Fordham University Graduate School of Religion and Religious
Education are co-sponsoring the First Annual Men’s Conference on Saturday, March 21, 2015, on the Rose Hill campus
of Fordham University. With over 500 men expected to attend, this day-long event will provide a unique opportunity
for men throughout the Archdiocese to recommit themselves
to their spiritual lives. The speakers will include His Eminence Timothy Cardinal Dolan, Archbishop of New York;
Damon Owens, a renowned public speaker and strong proponent of the Catholic faith; and Joe Klecko, former all-star New
York Jets defensive lineman. Admission is $45 and includes

La Comisión de Hombres de la Arquidiócesis de Nueva York está

We prepare for Mass on Sunday by sharing our thoughts on
the readings. As the Presider gives his homily, the whole picture comes together. Please join us every week or when you

El Apocalipsis del Apóstol San Juan es: ¿Un libro inspirado
