The Prayer Shawl Ministry
We create hand made shawls that include a prayer with
each one for our sick parishioners. This ministry meets
twice a month on the second floor of the parish center
(Rm.2) from 6 to 8 pm. Everyone is welcome and no experience is necessary. We have instructors available to
teach knitting or crocheting. If you have questions, please
call Alma Middleton at 340-5978 or Rita Osborne at

Three Bible Studies
Begin Soon!
Thursday afternoons from
12:30-2:30, starting on Feb.
12th, for 9 sessions. This will be a series filmed in the
Holy Land, called “Mary: A Biblical Walk with the
Blessed Mother” which will place you in the midst of the
powerful drama of her earthly life, through her joys and
sorrows.
On Wednesday, Feb. 11th begins a 10 week evening
series from 7:00-9:00pm. This is a study called
“Catholicism, A Journey to the Heart of Faith,” by Fr.
Robert Barron, which seeks to capture the body, heart,
and soul of the Catholic faith.
On Thursday evening, March 11th from 7:00-9:00pm,
a series will begin called “Walking Toward Eternity:
Daring to Walk the Walk.” This study shows how to put
our Catholic faith into practice through prayer and action. The series will introduce seven key virtues and
outline practical steps for living them out in daily life.

Statements and Collection
of Email Addresses
This year, we tried something new by
emailing the tax statements, that report your
donations to the church, on January 14, 2015, to the
emails that we have on file. Thanks to all who replied that
they received their statements by email and did not need
a copy mailed by the US postal service! We were able to
save some money on postage and paper costs! If you
would like to receive information by email in the future,
please make sure we have a current email for you. You
can call us with that information (317-353-9404, extention
4) or email it to [email protected]. Michele Golab will
input your email address into our parish data system. We
would also love to have your updated telephone numbers,
as many of you are changing to cell phones. Please call
or email us with that information as well!
Men’s Ministry Newly Forming
Jesus said, “What are you looking
for”? You may find your answer
with the newly formed Men’s Ministry and Fellowship group beginning
February 1, 2015. All men are invited to meet in the parish center on the first and
third Sunday of every month from 8:45am to 10am.
Our focus is to join together in faith to search for how

2015 Little Flower Kindergarten-3rd Grade
Girls & Boys Basketball Intramural Program
Registration will occur during the Little Flower Open
House on Sunday, January 25th, 2015 from 11:30AM to
2:00PM in the Cafeteria AND on Saturday, January 31,
2015 from 12:00pm to 2:00PM in Little Flower
Gym. The Intramural Basketball League is for grades
Kindergarten thru 3rd Grade (Boys & Girls) and will run
from February 6th thru March 15th,
2015. The cost is $30.00 per child,

YOUTH MINISTRY
Schedule of Events
Confirmation Dates: There has
been a lot of confusion regarding
the class dates for Confirmation. We do not have classes
every weekend. Our remaining class dates in English are
February 22, March 1, March 8, March 15, April 12, April 26,
and May 3. And in Spanish, the remaining class dates are
February 21, February 28, March 7, March 14, April 11, April
25, and May 2. There will not be anyone available if you
show up at other times.

Week is a January 25th - 30th,

2015. We will have an Open
NEWS:
House on Sunday, January 25th
from 9:00 am - 11:00 am. Stop by
and visit. There will be a Preschool and Kindergarten Round up at 10:30 am in the
Café. Preschoolers must be 3, 4, or 5 year olds by
Sept. 1, 2015. Join us!
Sky Zone: Next Sunday, the Sky Zone Waivers are due to
the parish office. Please make sure that you get them all in
by Sunday, February 1. We will not be meeting at Holy Spirit
on February 6 beforehand as a group. Instead, we will gather
at Sky Zone in Fishers at 10:30 pm and jump from 11:00 until
midnight. You can either stay at Sky Zone, or you will need to
come back to pick up your child.
Parish Youth Council: We are looking to build a Parish
Youth Council. Our Youth Council would be our Youth Leadership team in the parish and would help to plan our Youth
Ministry Activities such as social activities (Kings Island,
camping, etc.) and also be our Core Group of teens that
would lead our retreats and attend youth ministry events and
activities. If you are in High School and are interested in
learning more about Youth Council, or would like to join, we
will be meeting on February 7 from 11-1:00 in the Parish
Center.
On February 7th, there will be a Confirmation Day of Reflection. This would count as a Confirmation Retreat alternative
if there are unforeseen scheduling conflicts for our parish’s
Confirmation Retreat in August. Please check any fall sport or
extracurricular activity schedules that your child is or will be
involved in to see if there will be any scheduling conflicts.
We will be having a workshop to help those struggling to
determine their Confirmation Saint Name. This can be a
daunting process with the amount of saints to choose
from. So we will meet on Sunday, Feb. 8th from 12-1:00 in
the Parish Center to work on finding the right saint for each
candidate. This is not required or mandatory, but encouraged

con niños que hayan cumplido 5 años antes del 1 de
Septiembre, estas comenzaran a las 10:15 am en la
cafetería.

Les pedimos que se aprendan su numero de sobre, ya que
este numero nos ayuda a identificar cada familia y su historia con la parroquia. Para nosotros es más fácil encontrar el
numero de sobre que un nombre ya que pueden haber dos
personas con el mismo nombre, pero no con el mismo numero. Cuando Uds. Necesiten ayuda les pediremos su numero de sobre.
Por favor faciliten nuestro trabajo y apréndanse su numero
de sobre, de esta manera nuestro trabajo será mas precios,

MINISTERIO JUVENIL
ESPÍRITU SANTO
Fechas de Confirmación: Hubo mucha confusión
sobre las fechas por las clases de confirmación. No
tenemos clases todos los fines de semanas. En
español, tenemos clases el 21 de febrero, 28 de febrero,
7 de marzo, 14 de marzo, 11 de abril, 25 de abril, y el 2
de mayo. En ingles, tenemos clases de confirmación el
22 de febrero, 1 de marzo, 8 de marzo, 15 de marzo, 12
de abril, 26 de abril, y el 3 de mayo. No habrá alguien si
vengas a otras fechas por clases.
Sky Zone: El domingo
próximo, los descargos por
nuestro viaje a Sky Zone
son debidos en la oficina
parroquial. No vamos a
encontrar a Espíritu Santo
antes de Sky Zone,
entonces encontráremos a Sky Zone a las 10:30 en la
noche allá y saltaremos a las 11:00 a
medianoche. Después, necesitas venir para sacar tus
hijos a Sky Zone o puedes quedarte allá.
Consejo Juvenil: Ahora, nosotros miramos por jóvenes
que quieren ayudar y participar más en el ministerio de
los jóvenes en la parroquia. Estos jóvenes ayudarían
planificar los eventos sociales como Kings Island,
camping, etc. Y también con eventos espirituales,
especialmente con los retiros. Estos jóvenes estarían
nuestro equipo de líderes jóvenes en la parroquia y
venir a la mayoría de nuestras actividades de este
ministerio durante el año. Si estás en High School y
estás interesado vengas a nuestro reunión el 7 de
febrero a las 11:00 a 1:00 en el sótono de la parroquia.

give a schedule to our security team; if your event is not on
the schedule, they will come in and question you and ask for

Your space is not reserved until you receive a return email,
or you can call the Parish Office at 353-9404 to make a
reservation. Even if your meeting involves Fr. Paul or Fr.
Juan, please do not assume that they are scheduling

Retreat for Busy Catholic Moms!
The Sisters of Providence of Saint Mary-of-the-Woods,
Indiana, will host “Retreat for Busy Catholic Moms,” Feb.
27-March 1. The retreat will begin at 7 p.m., on Friday,
Feb. 27, and conclude at 1:30 p.m., on March 1. All moms
are welcome as well as nursing infants. The retreat will
take place at the motherhouse of the Sisters of Providence, located 10 minutes northwest of downtown Terre
Haute. The retreat will be facilitated by Sister Mary Montgomery with planning assistance from Stephanie Bosma,
West Lafayette, and Karen Peters, Fort Wayne. It will include presentations, discussions, prayer and more.
