Mission Statement
We are one body in Christ and
individually parts of one another.
Vision Statement
To be a community that is nurtured
through the Eucharist and
empowered by the Holy Spirit to
serve God and neighbor.
The Liturgy of the Day
Today we begin a stretch of Ordinary
Time that will last about a month.
Some have called this segment of
Ordinary Time a “season of discipleship,” because the Gospel readings
cover the early ministry of Jesus and
the calling of the first disciples. On
this day we will see Jesus at the
wedding at Cana, traditionally the
third manifestation of Christ,
following Christmas and Epiphany.
Perhaps our prayer today can be that
we are able to see Jesus as well, in
others whom we meet every day.
a la Liturgia del Día
Hoy comenzamos un tramo del tiempo
Ordinario que durará alrededor de un
mes. Algunos le han llamado a este
segmento del tiempo Ordinario un
“tiempo de discipulado”, debido a que
las lecturas del Evangelio cubren los
primeros tiempos del ministerio de
Jesús y el llamado de los primeros
discípulos. En el día de hoy veremos a
Jesús en la boda de Caná,
tradicionalmente
considerada
la
tercera manifestación de Cristo,
después de la Navidad y la Epifanía.
Tal vez nuestra oración de hoy pueda
ser para que también podamos ver a
Jesús en todos los que vemos a diario.
