Vision Statement To be a community that is nurtured through the Eucharist and empowered by the Holy Spirit to serve God and neighbor. The Liturgy of the Day a la Liturgia del Día We are drawing near to the end of the liturgical year, as a quick glance at today’s readings about the end-times will tell us. This time of the year, this month of November with its focus on our faithful departed, together with these readings, cause us to reflect on our own mortality. As we gather to worship today, let us pray for God’s mercy and love at the end of our own lives and at the end of all time. THIRTY-THIRD SUNDAY IN ORDINARY TIME WHAT’S HAPPENING NOVEMBER 15, 2015 Corpus Christi Children’s Choir Practices held on Monday’s from 5 to 5:30 PM and 5:45 to 6:30 PM in the Old Church. Dear Brothers and Sisters in Christ, I want to clearly state the diocesan liquor policy so all of us will be clear on this, and there will be no confusion. This policy was revised in July of 2014 and is in effect until further notice. 1-Any parish function meeting on church grounds that charges money to attend (for example, where tickets are sold), in which alcohol is available, provided or sold must obtain a temporary beer and wine permit. 2-Events promoting or permitting attendees to "Bring their own bottle" of alcohol or beer are NOT permitted. This includes meetings of the Knights of Columbus, Women's Group, etc.. 3-If an event is held off parish property at a location with a liquor license (different than a temporary permit), such as The Country Club of Lexington, then the location's license suffices. 4- Temporary beer and wine permits are obtained by submitting an application to the Department of Revenue Form ABL-900 from www.SCTAX.ORG I urge all of our parishioners to please abide by this policy. Anyone who does not abide by our policy is breaking the law and will suffer the consequences.
