The Liturgy of the Day
a la Liturgia del Día
We are drawing near to the end of
the liturgical year, as a quick
glance at today’s readings about
the end-times will tell us. This
time of the year, this month of
November with its focus on our
faithful departed, together with
these readings, cause us to reflect
on our own mortality. As we
gather to worship today, let us
pray for God’s mercy and love at
the end of our own lives and at the
end of all time.
Nos estamos acercando al final del
año litúrgico y una ojeada rápida a
las lecturas de hoy acerca del final
de los tiempos así nos lo
confirmará. Este tiempo del año,
sobre todo este mes de noviembre
con su enfoque en nuestros fieles
difuntos, junto con estas lecturas
nos hace reflexionar sobre nuestra
propia mortalidad.

pensamos. Pero para Marcos estar preparado no quiere
decir esperar pasivamente, sino trabajar activamente
(Marcos 13:28). Cada día debe ser vivido como si
fuera nuestro primero, nuestro último y nuestro único
día. ¡Porque un día así será!

NO Religious Education or Confirmation Classes November 22 & 29th. Class to resume on Sunday, December 6th.
THIRTY-THIRD SUNDAY IN ORDINARY TIME WHAT’S HAPPENING NOVEMBER 15, 2015
Corpus Christi Children’s Choir Practices held on Monday’s from 5 to 5:30 PM and 5:45 to 6:30 PM in the Old Church.
Dear Brothers and Sisters in Christ,
I want to clearly state the diocesan liquor
policy so all of us will be clear on this, and there
will be no confusion. This policy was revised in
July of 2014 and is in effect until further notice.
1-Any parish function meeting on church
grounds that charges money to attend (for
example, where tickets are sold), in which
alcohol is available, provided or sold must
obtain a temporary beer and wine permit.
2-Events promoting or permitting attendees to
"Bring their own bottle" of alcohol or beer
are NOT permitted. This includes meetings of
the Knights of Columbus, Women's Group, etc..
3-If an event is held off parish property at a
location with a liquor license (different than a
temporary permit), such as The Country Club
of Lexington, then the location's license suffices.
4- Temporary beer and wine permits are
obtained by submitting an application to the
Department of Revenue Form ABL-900 from
www.SCTAX.ORG
I urge all of our parishioners to please abide by
this policy. Anyone who does not abide by our
policy is breaking the law and will suffer the
consequences.
In Christ Our Lord,
Father Ray Carlo
