Special Olympics Track & Field Competition: April 26/27 Members of Council 6065 and Assembly 2266, and many other Councils and Assemblies, are assisting with the awarding of medals and ribbons to the athletes. Ronald McDonald House: April 27 Members of our Council are preparing dinner on April 27 for those staying at the Ronald McDonald House in Dallas. This meal is for the families of children who are in the local hospitals. We prepare the meal for people who are in need of a small diversion from their child’s medical problems. Ron Fossier Memorial Scholarship April brings our Council to the start of our annual Ronald Fossier (PGK) Memorial KC Scholarship Award competition. This Knights of Columbus scholarship award will be divided into two age groups with each winner to receive four hundred dollars. The age groups are classified as (1) Under 14 years of age and (2) 14 and older as of May 15 (deadline for entry). Those eligible for this scholarship are the children or grandchildren of a Knights of Columbus member in good standing who is or has been a member of Council 6065 here at St. Mark. The student to receive this award can either attend a Catholic grade school, Catholic high school or be home schooled by a Catholic parent(s).
