LECTOR SCHEDULE
Weekend of Sept. 13-14
We are very excited to announce a new resource for adult
education in our parish. Symbolon is a new video series
produced through a cooperation between the Augustine Institute,
Ignatius Press, and Lighthouse Catholic Media. It is an
explanation of the Catholic faith featuring renowned speakers in
American Catholicism today. It is a great resource for basic
catechesis in parishes.
Here at St. Pius X, we will be offering this program to the parish
in a variety of ways.
1.
As a class for parents of children in the PSR program (though
open to anyone), where the videos will be shown with
discussion. Beginning Monday, September 8, 6:15 PM room
13/15, or Wednesday, September 10th, 4:30 PM room 13/15
and 6:15 PM room 11.
2. As part of RCIA. Classes start Sunday, September 7th, 9:00
AM – 10:45 AM in St. Scholastica Room.
3. As home study with discussion class. Discussion group to
begin September 16, 7:00 PM in the Admin Hall.
4. Pure home study/independent group study.
Saturday
5:00 p.m. David Collins & Margie Schaetzly
Sunday
8:30 a.m. Laurie Ashmore & Bob Longo
This program provides multiple ways to access the materials so
that the most people participate and learn more about their
faith. Details on the Online/Homestudy option
will be available soon for the parish.
11:00 a.m. Charles Doyle & Ann Johnson
1:30 p.m. Ignacio Serrato & Fanny Varela
5:00 p.m. Lynne Sparks-Zantinga

On Our Lady's birthday the Church celebrates
the first dawning of redemption with the
appearance in the world of the Savior's
mother, Mary. The Blessed Virgin occupies a
unique place in the history of salvation, and
she has the highest mission ever commended
to any creature. We rejoice that the Mother of
God is our Mother, too. Let us often call upon
the Blessed Virgin as "Cause of our joy", one
of the most beautiful titles in her litany.
