We are pleased to announce that in the
meeting of the Commission who is in
charge of selecting the winners of the
AWARDS GERNIKA FOR PEACE
AND RECONCILIATION 2010, it is
been decided that the “MAYORS FOR
PEACE” will get this distinction.
Por medio de la presente, tengo a bien
notificarle que en reunión de la
Comisión Seleccionadora de los
PREMIOS GERNIKA POR LA PAZ
Y LA RECONCILIACIÓN 2010, la
candidatura propuesta de “MAYORS
FOR PEACE” para uno de los premios
ha sido la ganadora.
Therefore, I can confirm that the
GERNIKA 2010 AWARDS ceremony
will take place in a public event in
Gernika-Lumo Lizeo Theatre on 25
April, Sunday at 18: 00.
We invite you to get involved in this
event and we kindly ask you to contact
the Secretary of the Town Hall (Maria,
Tf.: 001 34 94 627 02 12) or the Tourist
Office (Izaskun Tf.: 001 34 94 625 58
92) to let us know who will come to
receive this award. The Council will take
charge of the displacement, hosting and
maintenance costs.
Por lo tanto, le confirmo que la entrega
de los PREMIOS GERNIKA 2010 se
realizará en un acto público en el teatro
Lizeo de Gernika-Lumo el próximo 25
de abril, domingo, a las 18:00 horas.
Le invitamos a participar en dicho acto
y le rogamos se ponga en contacto con la
secretaria de este Ayuntamiento (Maria,
Tf.: 001 34 94 627 02 12) o con la
Oficina de Turismo (Izaskun Tf.: 001 34
94 625 58 92) y nos concrete quién
vendrá a recibir dicho galardón. El
Ayuntamiento correrá con los gastos de
desplazamiento,
alojamiento
y
manutención.
The AWARDS GERNIKA FOR
PEACE AND RECONCILIATION
were established in 2005 during the
commemoration of the anniversary of
the bombing of Gernika (26-4-1937)
headed by the Town Hall of GernikaLumo, the city of Pforzheim
(Germany),
Gernika
Gogoratuz
Foundation, Gernika Peace Museum
and the Culture House of GernikaLumo. The award is an art work from
William Kelly and Alex Carrascosa
artists.
Los PREMIOS GERNIKA POR LA
PAZ Y LA RECONCILIACIÓN se
instauran el año 2005, dentro de los
actos conmemorativos del Aniversario
del Bombardeo de nuestra ciudad (2604-1937)
por
iniciativa
del
Ayuntamiento de Gernika-Lumo, el
Ayuntamiento de Pfrozheim (Alemania),
la Fundación Gernika Gogoratuz, el
Museo de la Paz de Gernika y la Casa de
Cultura y el galardón consiste en una
obra de arte de los artistas William Kelly
