God & Mercy
What is your image of God? If asked, how would you describe God? Pope Francis declared our next liturgical year
(Dec 2015-Nov 2016), The Year of Mercy. In preparation for
The Year of Mercy we invite you to attend a talk that will help
you discover the image you have of God and how it relates to
mercy. The presenters will be Mr. & Mrs. Gerard & Wanda
Scheuermann. Mrs. Scheuermann recently retired from the
Diocese as Director of the School of Ministry. Mr. Scheuermann, also recently retired, has an extensive background in
faith formation and most recently worked at St. Anthony’s in
Manteca as Director for the RCIA program. Please join us in
the gym, November 15, 2015 at 9:15am for coffee and donuts, fellowship and a little faith formation as we prepare for
The Year of Mercy.
Have you ever considered sponsoring a family registered in the
Sunday Faith Formation for Children? There are many families
struggling financially that find it
difficult to cover the cost of tuition
and often times stop attending
out of guilt. Please pray on it and
consider making a donation to
help a family. The cost for one
child is $70, for 2 is $120, for 3 or
more is $150. The fees are used to
buy items such paper, pencils,
crayons, notebooks, crafts & other
supplies and in-house retreats.

rather than a monetary donation,
please contact Grace at the
Parish House 463-1305.

Maybe you’re missing a Sacrament or two?
Consider the RCIA process. What is RCIA? RCIA is an acronym for Rite of Christian Initiation for Adults. RCIA is the
process of entering a journey of faith through which you can receive the Sacraments of Baptism, Confirmation and Communion.
Perhaps you are baptized and have been away from the church and feel the desire to return to learn more about your faith or
never received the Sacraments of Communion and/or Confirmation, the RCIA process may be for you. If you are 18 years of
age or older and are curious about the process or have other questions, please call the Parish House and ask for Grace. You can
enter the process at any time during the year.
**If your child is 17 years old or younger and is not baptized or was baptized in another faith, we offer an RCIA process adapted
for children too. Please contact Grace at the Parish House 463-1305.

San Francisco
What is a nun run?
We will visit different convents and learn about what a
nun really is, who is called to be one, and what their
life is all about. This is going to be a beautiful
experience for young women to be able to see the
beauty of religious life.
