A note from Sharing
Our Daily Bread
Ministry . . .
A heartfelt thanks to a parish
that shares with others less
fortunate. By the numbers...fiftyeight parcels, plus 3 full boxes of
food, 12 cases of varying sizes
of noodles, canned vegetables,
canned meat and a single generous
donation of 50 cans of pasta sauce,
3 dozen cans of vegetables and 15
large boxes of cereal were collected
last weekend! These are given to
those in need of our assistance. A
special thanks to those who drop of
their food donation at the parish
house before going out of town.
Una nota de nuestro Ministerio
de Compartamos Nuestro Pan….
Un sincero agradecimiento a una
Iglesia que comparte con
aquellos menos afortunados.
Estos son los números que se
acumularon el pasado fin de
semana…. 58 paquetes , mas 3 cajas
llenas de alimentos, 12 cajas de
fideos de diferentes tamaños,
vegetales enlatados, carne enlatada
y una generosa donación de 50 latas
de salsa para pasta, tres docenas de
latas de vegetales y 15 cajas
grandes de cereal. Estos alimentos
se les dará aquellos que necesitan
nuestra asistencia. Un especial
agradecimiento a aquellos que
trajeron sus alimentos a la casa
parroquial antes de salir de la
ciudad.
An Invitation from Sharing
Our Daily Bread...
Have you thought about getting
involved in a church ministry but feel
that you don't have the time? This
may be for you. If you are interested
in doing something once a month
when you come to Mass that would
take only about 15 minutes, you are
invited to help collect the food at our
monthly Sharing Our Daily Bread food
drives.
If this sounds like what you are looking
for, call the Parish House at 463.1305
or email Irene at [email protected].
Flowers for the Altar
Donating flowers to
adorn the sanctuary is a
lovely way to remember
a loved one who has
passed away or to honor
a friend or relative. If
you would like to donate
flowers, please call the Parish House at
463-1305 to reserve a date and make
arrangements.

Parish Communications
HIGH SCHOOL YOUTH GROUP: Join us
Monday, May 23rd for our second to last
youth group. We will be having an end-ofthe-year Mass and special dinner! Please
come to the church at 7pm, and after
Mass we will head to the gym for dinner
and fellowship.
During the course of our PAR (Parish
Assessment and Renewal) process, one of
the top items of concern was an overall
improvement in parish communications.
Plans are being made for improvement in all
aspects of communication, but in the
meantime, the following resources are
available to all parishioners to find out what’s
going on in our parish community:

FACEBOOK: Visit www.facebook.com/
annunciationstockton. Be sure to tell
your family, friends, and fellow
parishioners to check us out,
also! And make sure to “like”
us!

WEBSITE: Visit our website at
www.annunciationstockton.org. You can
get Mass times, read the bulletin, get
information on parish ministries, read the
daily Mass readings, and much more!

E-Bulletin: If you are currently a
registered parishioner and would like to
receive the E-Bulletin , please email your
name, phone number and email address
to: [email protected]
Come to the
gym Wednesday, May 25th from 7-8:30pm
for a night on “friendship”.
JR. HIGH YOUTH GROUP:
BILINGUAL YOUTH GROUP: We meet
every Friday at 7pm in the school
auditorium.
NEW GROUP STARTING! Are you
college age (18-26)? Would you like to be
apart of Annunciation's new college group?
If so, please call the parish house — we
are planning summer events!
LOS DISCIPULOS DE JESUS

invite you to participate with other teens
just like you, to our games, talks, and
potlucks!! We hang out every Friday in the
school auditorium at 7pm. Come and invite
a friend! Hope to see you there.
Please take a few minutes to check out our
website and our Facebook page, and if you
are a registered parishioner, sign up to get
the bulletin emailed to you each week!
Do you know someone who
wants to know what being
Catholic is all about?
Are you interested in learning
about the Catholic Church?
Then there is a solution. We want to let you
know about the exciting journey known as the
RCIA. Call the Parish House (463-1305) and
ask to be contacted with more information.
Giving Online? Why Not?
Join many of your fellow parishioners who now
give online. Here’s why:

No More Envelopes: Eliminate the hassle of
trying to remember and find your envelope each
Sunday.

Good Discipleship: No more deciding what
to give at the last moment or throwing
whatever happens to be in your
pocket into the offertory basket. Your
gift is prayerful and intentional. You
are truly giving of the “First Fruits”.
Our Family

Congratulations and blessings to the
families of Harrison Alexander Stevens,
Aaron Michael Ambriz, and Maximilian
Damrichob, who were baptized last week.

Please pray for those of our community who
are ill, especially Blanca Alvarado, Maria
and Pedro Bautista, Linda Bosche, Ron
Bruno, Elsa Patricia Ceballos, Diego
Corona, Terry Costa, Maria Elena Gates,
Ken Gates, Anthony Gonzalez, Jacinto
Ixcoyt, Bob and Elsie Joy, Estelle Krenecki,
Brendan Lindsay, Julissa Lopez, Izaak
Macias, Valeria Mendez, Marilu Magaña,
Marilu Morales, Elisa Olivares, Coy Lyn
Odom III, Patricia Resendes, Rosalia Lopez
Sanchez, Ellie Guerra Sterns, Tom
Upchurch, and Alberto and Bertha Zavala.

Please pray for those who have passed
through death into a new life with Christ,
especially Jack Gall.
Consistency: You can still give
even if you are out of town and unable to
attend Mass at the Cathedral.



Helps Our Parish: Processing is easier,
quicker and less expensive than processing
envelopes…you save our parish money.
Online Giving also helps our parish budget
more accurately.

Sockets Layer (SSL), to ensure that all of the
information you enter is encrypted, and is

DIOCESE AND COMMUNITY
Our neighbors at First
Presbyterian Church
extend an invitation to join
them on a Neighborhood/
History Walk Saturday, June 4 at 10:00am.
The walk will begin at the corner of Van
Buren and Magnolia—next to the Parish
House. We will be exploring our
neighborhood, its rich and varied history,
and getting acquainted with our
neighbors. Included will be a brief look at
the historic buildings nearby, Dameron
Hospital and the quaint shopping area at
Yosemite and Acacia.
It's a great way to learn about our
community, its history and get to know our
neighbors. Please join us and wear your
walking shoes! The walk will last about an
hour.
