This Liturgy is our annual celebration by our
gathered Local Church of the priesthood of Jesus-the
anointed by-the-Spirit. His priesthood is shared by the Baptized and the Ordained. His priesthood is exercised in the
Sacraments, especially the Sacraments most closely associated with the Eucharist, the Sacraments of Initiation, of Orders, and the Sacrament of the Sick.
The Chrism Mass is an annual celebration for the sacramental life of our Archdiocese. Let us join as one body and
pray for all those who will be anointed with the oils that will
be blessed at the Chrism Mass for use this year.

church’s ministers must be merciful, take responsibility for
the people and accompany them like the good Samaritan,
who washes, cleans and raises up his neighbor: this is pure
Gospel.”
