INFANT BAPTISMS
For children under 8 years of age, the sacrament is celebrated the
FIRST Sunday of the month at 2:00 pm. The par ents must r egister in the parish office at least 4 weeks prior to the baptism. Both
parents and godparents are expected to attend one catechetical session
in
advance, on the Wednesday before the baptism, at 7:00 pm.
SACRAMENTS OF CHRISTIAN INITIATION
Before being fully initiated into the sacramental life of the Church,
children over the age of 8 will need catechetical pr epar ation
through the RCIC process. Teenagers and adults will participate in
separate RCIA pr ocesses.
CONFIRMATION and COMMUNION
For those already baptized, preparation for these Sacraments will take
place according to the person’s age and knowledge of the Catholic
Faith. For further information contact the Office of Faith Formation
Program.
MARRIAGES
Couples should contact the parish office at least six months in
advance to make the pr oper ar r angements for the Sacr ament of
Matrimony.
ANOINTING OF THE SICK
Please contact the parish office.
RECONCILIATION
A priest is available for Confessions on Saturday afternoon from
3:30 pm to 4:30 pm. You can also make an individual appointment.

EL BAUTISMO DE NIÑOS
Solamente para los niños menores de los 8 años de edad, se celebra
el sacramento el SEGUNDO y el CUARTO domingo del mes a las
2:00 pm. Es preciso que los padres se inscriban en la parroquia por
lo menos 4 semanas antes del bautismo. Ambos padres y padrinos
deberán asistir a una instrucción catequética, la noche del Miercoles
anterior al bautizo a las 7:00 pm.
SACRAMENTOS DE LA INICIACIÓN CRISTIANA
Con el propósito de participar plenamente en la vida sacramental de
la Iglesia, los niños mayores de los 8 años de edad, necesitarán
prepararse en el proceso de Iniciación Cristiana Para Niños. Los
jóvenes y los adultos se preparán separadamente en el proceso del
RICA.
CONFIRMACIÓN Y COMUNIÓN
La preparación para estos Sacramentos se cumple según la edad de
la persona y su conocimiento de la Fe Católica. Para más información comunicarse con la Oficina de Formación de la Fe.
MATRIMONIOS
La pareja deberá hacer su solicitud en el despacho pastoral por los
menos seis meses antes de la fecha de la boda, para entrevistarse
con el sacerdote e iniciar la preparación matrimonial.
UNCIÓN DE LOS ENFERMOS
Comunicarse con el despacho pastoral.
RECONCILIACIÓN
El Sacramento se celebra semanalmente los sábados de 3:30 pm a
4:30 pm. También se puede fijar una cita para la Confesión otro día
de la semana con un sacerdote.

Dear Parishioners,
The month of May has many beautiful celebrations. This Sunday we remember all our mothers on
Mothers’ Day. What an important privilege, role and responsibility it is to be a mother. Everyone has a
mother and a mother has a significant part to play from the beginning of our lives. We need to pray for
all mothers that they may receive the grace to answer their call to respect, love and nourish the lives
placed in their care. As we remember our mothers we look forward to celebrate this Friday, May 13th
Our Lady of Fatima, our church feast day. Mary is our mother by grace and gives the whole church a
model of humble love and service to God. On Sunday, May 22nd a Pilgrim Statue of Our Lady of Fatima
as the Blue Army’s peace tour in the Brooklyn Diocese. There will be prayers, a procession and veneration
into the night. The Holy Trinity and the Solemnity of the Body and Blood of Christ are also celebrated this
month. We thank God for all his gifts to us. Mark your calendars and join us for these celebrations.

El mes de mayo tiene muchas celebraciones hermosas. Este domingo recordamos a nuestras madres por el
Día de la Madre. Qué privilegio importante, el puesto y la responsabilidad de ser una madre. Todos tenemos una madre y una madre tiene un papel muy importante desde el inicio de nuestras vidas. Oremos
por todas las madres para que puedan recibir la gracia de respeto, cuidado y nutrir las vidas colocados
bajo su cuidado. Recordando a nuestras madres vamos a celebrar este viernes en la Iglesia la fiesta de
Nuestra Señora de Fátima el día 13 de mayo. María es nuestra madre por gracia y da a la Iglesia un modelo
de amor humilde y servicio a Dios. El domingo, 22 de mayo la Imagen Peregrina de Nuestra Señora de
Fátima vendrá a nuestra iglesia como gira de paz. Habrá oraciones, una procesión y veneración por la
noche. La Santa Trinidad y la solemnidad del Cuerpo y la Sangre de Cristo también se celebran este mes.
Agradecemos a Dios por todos sus dones para nosotros. Marque su calendario y únanse a nosotros para
estas celebraciones.

remove your cars from the parking lot as soon as possible after the Mass ends. This helps parishioners for
the following Mass to find a place to park.
If you do not find a parking space, please DO NOT block others who are in a space.

CONFIRMATION
Bishop DiMarzio will celebrate the Sacrament of Confirmation here on Pentecost Sunday,
May 15th at 3:00 PM Mass. Practice will be held on Wednesday, May 11th at 7:00 PM. Students
should be accompanied by their sponsors. Parents are also encouraged to attend.
Adults in the RCIA Program will also receive the Sacrament. Please keep all of our youth and
adults in your prayers during this coming week.
Our youth and their sponsors attended Retreat days here on April 9th and April 16th.
Each day included a prayer Service, Silent Reflection on Scripture passages, followed by small
group discussions. The afternoon included Discussion of Walls of Division in Schools, Families,
World and what can we do to break down the walls.
Obispo DiMarzio celebrara el Sacramento de la Confirmación aquí en el domingo de Pentecostés,
15 de mayo en la Misa de las 3:00 PM. La práctica se llevará a cabo el miércoles 11 de mayo
