SACYR VALLEHERMOSO IS AWARDED ALMADÉN’S
DRINKING WATER SERVICES IN CIUDAD REAL
Madrid, February 25 2008.- Sacyr Vallehermoso Group, through its
subsidiary, Valoriza Agua, has won the Almadén’s drinking water services in
Ciudad Real for the next 20 years entailing €28.5 million.
Valoriza Agua will provide water services to 6,700 inhabitants in
Almadén, and to 2,107 inhabitants in the municipality of Chillón.
In the coming weeks, Valoriza Agua will start operating the new
Drinking Water Treatment Plant (ETAP for its initials in Spanish) providing
water services to the entire region: Agudo, Alamillo, Almadanejos (and its
hamlet, Gargantiel), Chillón, Guadalmez, Saceruela and Valdemanco del
Esteras. A total of 13,250 inhabitants will be serviced. This figure will be
twofold during the summer months.
Valoriza Agua will invest in various projects in view to improve water
services and contribute to Alamdén’s economic and social development.
Valoriza Agua focusing on both the management of the water integral
cycle and water engineering, is currently servicing 2.6 million customers in
Spain, Portugal and Brazil. Additionally, Valoriza Agua services Santa Cruz de
Tenerife, Las Palmas de Gran Canaria, Alcalá de Henares and Cascais
(Portugal) among others.
