ST. RAYMOND’S ACADEMY FOR GIRLS IN PARTNERSHIP WITH MACY’S OF
PARKCHESTER AND BEACON’S CLOSET TEAM UP TO CELEBRATE THE 50TH
ANNIVERSARY OF THE SCHOOL WITH A FASHION SHOW
St. Raymond Academy for Girls, located in the Parkchester section of the Bronx, will hold a
Reunion and Fashion Show on Saturday, March 12. The day’s events will begin with a Mass at
5:30 pm in the Lower Church and immediately following the Mass, a Reception and Fashion
Show will be held in the St. Raymond Elementary School auditorium.
The Academy will celebrate the Reunion Classes of the Alumnae from (1966, 1971, 1981, 1986,
1991, 1996, 2001 and 2006). Admission for alumnae, general audience and parishioners is $15
and includes light refreshments or $20 at the door. The fee for St. Raymond Academy students is
$5 for the show or $15 for the show and refreshments.
The attire for the models will be provided by Macy’s of Parkchester and Beacon’s Closet in Williamsburg, Brooklyn.

St. Raymond Academy for Girls, a high school under St. Raymond’s Parish is located at 1725
Castle Hill Avenue and has been recently renovated to include 20 new classrooms, a Library Media Center, two Science Labs, an Art room and a Physical Fitness Center. The Academy is accredited by the New York State Board of Regents and the Commission on Secondary Schools of
the Middle States Association.

college age young men. Begins with 4:30pm Mass in
Church...continues in auditorium until 9:30am Monday.
All interested college age young men are welcome to

"The Spiritual Battle". Includes Mass, Eucharistic
Adoration, skit, discussions, dynamic teachings,
Eucharistic Adoration, Confessions, food, basketball, etc.

THE CHURCH … the scaffolding in the church has been removed …
the painting is almost completed … the art work has been repaired
and restored … the sanctuary floor is nearing completion … and
the tile floor and marble main aisle will begin to be laid this week

TRIP TO THE HOLY LAND … as a result of the visit of Bethlehem
Handicrafts last week, there seems to be interest in organizing a

“Making All Things New” is a pastoral initiative of the Archdiocese of New York for strategic parish
planning. The pre-planning stage of this program involves consultation with priests, religious, and

ENCUESTA SOBRE LA PARROQUIA
“Haciendo Todas Las Cosas Nuevas” es una iniciativa pastoral de la Arquidiócesis de Nueva
York para el planeamiento estratégico de la parroquia. La etapa de pre-planificación de este programa implica la consulta con los sacerdotes, religiosos, y laicos concerniente al proceso de
planificación y a los criterios que serán utilizados para apoyar y para dirigir este proceso. Esto
significa que la planificación afecta a cada parroquia en la Arquidiócesis de Nueva York.
En el Libro de Revelaciones, Jesús dice: ¡“Ves! ¡Hago todas las cosas nuevas!” (Revelaciones
21:5). En el espíritu de las palabras de Jesús, esta iniciativa pastoral busca fortalecer, enriquecer y renovar espiritualmente a nuestras parroquias, ahora y en el futuro. Estas palabras nos
aseguran que aunque las cosas pueden cambiar, Jesús nunca cambia su amor por nosotros.
Para ayudar en este proceso de pre-planificación, por favor, indique su respuesta a las
