The survey helps school leaders understand what key
members of the school community say about the
learning environment at each school. The information
captured by the survey is designed to support a
dialogue among all members of the school community
about how to make the school a better place to learn.

graduation Tickets!
The Summer Youth Employment Program (SYEP) applications are
available to anyone who would like to apply! SYEP provides New
York City youth between the ages of 14 and 24 with paid summer
employment for up to six weeks in July and August. Participants
work in a variety of entry-level jobs, such as:

Government Agencies
 Hospitals
 Summer Camps
 Non-Profits
 Small Businesses
 Law Firms
 Museums
 Sports Enterprises
 Retail Organizations

The deadline to submit an application is 4/15/16. There are 24 days
left before the deadline. Please remember that this is a lottery, and

Are you interested in being more active in your child’s
school?
If so, we are looking for dedicated parents to be a part of
our Parent Association and Student Leadership Team for
next school year!
The Parent Association consists of a President, Secretary
and Treasurer who hosts meetings for other parents in
regards to parental concerns, fundraising ideas and
much more!
The Student Leadership Team (SLT) works collaboratively
with Administration, Students and Teachers to think of
ways to benefit our students and school.

The Parent Association has started their Uncle Jerry’s T’s
Fundraiser Opportunity!
The school gets to keep 40% of the profit. That’s almost half!
What does that mean dollar-wise?
At the bare minimum, if each student sells 2 of the least
expensive items, the school will raise: $3,500!

Order TCS T-shirts for Honor Roll recipients!
Pay for small school “day trips”
Pay for buses for college trips
And more!!!
The due date May 13th for the money
The orders will come pre-packaged to the school’s Main Office
for you to pick up May 20th!
Operation PROM is a national organization that provides free prom
dresses to graduating High School seniors who are in good academic
standing and have financial need. Please see the flyer attached! To
receive a free prom dress, all students MUST register, in advance, at
www.helpprom.org. You must also indicate the Brooklyn Chapter for
their dress giveaway.
