In All Circumstances Give Thanks!
This week our readings remind us to be
thankful. When Naaman was cured of his
leprosy, he returned to Elisha offering gifts. Our
Gospel is the familiar story of the ten lepers, only
one of whom returned to give thanks. And Jesus
asks ǲWhere are the other nine?ǳ
Are we more likely to emulate Naaman,
spontaneously returning to thank God? Or do we
act like the ten lepers, happy in their good
fortune but forgetful of its source?
In todayǯs second reading, Paul talks
about suffering ǲfor the sake of those who are
chosen, so that they may obtain the salvation
that is in Christ Jesusǳ. We all suffer, sometimes
physical,
sometimes
mental,
sometimes
emotional. Instead of complaining, do we offer
our suffering to God for others who are also
suffering? United to the suffering of Jesus, our
sufferings gain eternal value.
This Friday there will be a Prayer Vigil for
Life in the Church from 7 Ȃ 9 PM. Respect for life,
especially the unborn, continues to be a serious
moral problem in our country and in the world.
How can God bless a country that lawfully
murders 4000 unborn infants a day! As we
approach Election Day, Catholics must take
seriously their obligation to vote for Life.

CONTINUING EDUCATION CLASS
In the 2016-2017 school year, we will be offering
a Continuing Education class for young people
who have already received the Sacrament of Confirmation. Father Janusz will be teaching this
class to continue formation in the Faith. The class
is being held on Tuesdays 6:45PM-7:45PM, Room
10. If you are interested, please sign up for it at
the Religious Ed office.

HOMELESS INITIATIVE
MINISTRY OF CONSOLATION
The mission of the Ministry of Consolation is to
walk with and support with loving care those
who are grieving for lost loved ones.
The Ministry of Consolation is looking for volunteers to help with funeral Mass preparations.
Duties would include:
-Contacting the bereaved family to
set up a meeting.
-Make decisions regarding readings,
music and preparation of gifts that
will take place during the Mass for the
deceased.
-Contact one of the cake bakers.
-Attend the funeral Mass.
*They are also in need of bakers*
If you can volunteer your time or baking talents,
please contact the Rectory office at (631) 842-5211.
OUTREACH PROGRAM
Food Pantry – Right now we need: Mac-n-
Cheese, Tuna fish, Canned peas, Canned
green beans, Tomato sauce, Canned milk, Cold
cereal, Bar Soap, Pampers, and Toothpaste.
Gift cards are always greatly appreciated.
Clothing Boutique – Right now we are ac-
cepting ONLY winter clothes for boys 4T
through 14 and girls 4T through 6x.

Catholic and Christian Churches in the Town of
Babylon as well as Suffolk County officials have
begun an initiative to shelter homeless persons this
winter season. Beginning in December on Wednesday evenings at 8:30PM we will be hosting the
homeless.
We need volunteers to cook dinner, breakfast and
prepare sandwiches for the homeless. We also
need chaperones to stay with the homeless
overnight. This can be done in shifts: 8:00PM to
1:00AM and 1:00AM to 6:30AM. This will be done
for approximately 16 Wednesday evenings.
We will also need donations of coats, sheets, pillows, and toiletries for the homeless.

Nadal można także zamawiać intencje na Msze św.
w roku 2016. Ofiara za intencję wynosi $15. Intencje
należy zamawiać w kancelarii parafialnej w godzinach
pracy. Nie przyjmujemy intencji przez telefon.
Można również uczcić pamięć swoich bliskich poprzez
złożenie donacji na Eucharystyczny Chleb i Wino
na wybrany tydzień ($50) : w intencji osób żyjących
(z okazji rocznicy, urodzin lub w intencji dziękczynnej)

GRUPA MŁODZIEŻOWA
Zapraszamy dzieci i młodzież naszej parafii (wiek 11
lat i starsi) do przyłączenia się do parafialnej grupy
młodzieżowej w języku angielskim. Spotkania w każdy
piątek o godz. 19:30 w sali pod kościołem. Drodzy
rodzice, dziadkowie, ciocie i wujkowie, przekażcie tę
wiadomość swoim dzieciakom i zachęćcie ich do
uczestnictwa w tej grupie. Na pewno będzie to dla nich
czas radości, spotykania nowych przyjaciół, jak i pogłębiania swojej wiary i zrobienia czegoś pożytecznego.
RELIGIA DLA UCZNIÓW SZKÓŁ ŚREDNICH
W roku szkolnym 2016-17 oferujemy bezpłatną klasę
religii dla młodzieży szkół średnich . Zajęcia w jęz. ang.
odbywają się we wtorki wieczorem w godz: 18:45-19:45 w sali nr 10 i prowadzone są przez Ks. Janusza.

Suffolk wyszły ze wspólną inicjatywą udzielenia osobom bezdomnym schronienia na czas zimy. Począwszy od grudnia w środowe wieczory od godz. 20:30
będziemy gościć u nas osoby bezdomne.
Potrzebujemy wolontariuszy do przygotowywania dla
nich kolacji, śniadań oraz kanapek. Potrzebujemy
także osób (opiekunów), które pozostawałyby z nimi
na noc. Ten obowiązek można będzie wykonywać na
zmiany, w godz: 20:00-1:00 w nocy oraz 1:00 w nocy-6:30 rano. Będzie to trwało przez około 16 tygodni (w
środy).
Będziemy także potrzebować donacji w postaci kurtek,
prześcieradeł, poduszek oraz przyborów toaletowych.
Osoby, które mogłyby ofiarować nam swój czas lub
złożyć donację , proszone są o zatelefonowanie do
Diakona Phila w kancelarii parafialnej (w języku angielskim) w celu uzyskania dodatkowych informacji, tel.

dziesięciu książek (w tym czterech tomów poezji) oraz wielu artykułów
naukowych i publicystycznych. Od roku 2007 współpracuje z Polskim
Radiem Katowice oraz Radiem eM. Jest pomysłodawcą Żorskiego Festiwalu
Twórczości Religijnej „Fide et Amore”, animatorem życia kulturalnego, a
także założycielem grupy modlitewnej wpierającej ludzi chorujących na
raka „Apostolstwo Zdrowia”. Od 2011 asystent kościelny Polskiej Federcji
Pueri Cantores.
