SISTERS OF SOCIAL SERVICE
On June 18-19 the Sisters of Social Service will speak at all the Masses to briefly explain their ministry in Mexico and the Philippines.
St. Sebastian’s participates in the diocesan Mission Cooperative Plan in which religious communities are invited to speak in parishes
about their work and give parishioners an opportunity to aid them in their mission. The Sisters of Social Service were founded in 1908 to
further the social mission of the Church through efforts that strengthen families, improve local communities, and address injustices in
society. You can participate in their work through your contribution in the second collection.
SPIRITUAL ADOPTION
WEEK 12: If the region near the mouth is stimulated, baby will open her mouth and
suck a finger. She is breathing well and she can now rotate her head. She has come a
long way since beginning her life at conception.

Programa Católico en el Radio
Hay un nuevo programa en el radio que se llama “En Busca de la
Verdad,” los domingos a las 9:00AM en la estación 104.1 FM. Si
quiere aprender mas de su fe el Padre Raúl les recomienda que
escuchen ese programa.
El Espíritu Santo
En la confirmación recibimos la plenitud del Espíritu Santo. La
confirmación es el sacramento por el cual las personas que han
renacido en el bautismo reciben el sello del Espíritu Santo. Como el bautismo y la Eucaristía, la confirmación es un sacramento de iniciación. La presencia profunda del Espíritu Santo que
recibimos en este sacramento debe apoyarnos en nuestro testimonio de Cristo y en el servicio a los demás.
Los siete dones del Espíritu Santo son cualidades sobrenaturales
permanentes que capacitan a quien vive en gracia a estar en
sintonía con las inspiraciones del Espíritu Santo. Estos dones
conducen a la santidad y son: 1) La sabiduría: Ayuda a valorizar
las cosas del cielo. 2) El entendimiento: Ayuda a captar las verdades religiosas. 3) El consejo: Ayuda a ver y a escoger correctamente el mejor modo de servir a Dios. 4) La Fortaleza: Da la
fuerza para vencer los obstáculos a una fe viva. 5) La piedad: Da
confianza en Dios y un deseo de servirle. 6) La ciencia: Ayuda a
ver el sendero a seguir y lo que amenaza nuestra fe. 7) El temor
del Señor: Ayuda a reconocer la soberanía de Dios y el respeto
que le debemos a él y a sus mandamientos.
La segunda clase de dones del Espíritu Santo se llaman carismas.
Son favores extraordinarios que se dan especialmente para ayudar a los demás. Estos carismas son: El don de la palabra de
sabiduría, la palabra de ciencia, la fe, el carisma de curación, el
poder de obrar milagros, la profecía, el discernimiento de espíritus, la diversidad de lenguas y el don de interpretarlas.

La misa en latín el primer domingo del mes queda suspendida
hasta septiembre.
Adoración Eucarística
Tendremos adoración Eucarística todos jueves de 6:30 – 8:00
PM y las 24 horas el primer viernes de cada mes.

BISHOP WALSH’S LAST MASS & RECEPTION
Dear Parishioners:
His Excellency, Most Reverend Daniel F. Walsh,
was installed as the fifth Bishop of the Diocese of Santa
Rosa on May 22, 2000. Late last year he wrote to the Holy
Father requesting that a Coadjutor Bishop be appointed,
who would succeed him as the sixth Bishop of the Diocese
of Santa Rosa. On January 24, 2011 the Holy Father appointed Most
Reverend Robert F. Vasa as the Coadjutor Bishop. On June 30, 2011,
with the approval of the Holy Father, Bishop Daniel Walsh will retire
and become Bishop Emeritus of the Diocese of Santa Rosa and automatically Bishop Robert Vasa will become the next Bishop of the Diocese of Santa Rosa.
In order to express your gratitude and bid your farewell to
Bishop Walsh you are invited to participate in the 12:00 p.m. Mass
on Sunday, June 26, the Solemnity of Corpus Christi, at the Cathedral
of St. Eugene, in Santa Rosa. Bishop Walsh will be the principal celebrant of the Mass. Following the Mass, from 1:30 p.m. to 3:30 p.m.,
there will be a reception at St. Eugene’s Parish Life Center, 2323
Montgomery Drive, Santa Rosa. You are welcome to participate in
the Mass and/or attend the reception.
LATIN MASS REMINDER: There will be no First Sunday Latin
Masses during the summer months. The Latin Mass will resume in
September.
ALTAR SERVERS NEEDED: Serving at Mass is an extremely
valuable liturgical ministry. It is a privilege to serve at Mass and a
wonderful way to serve God and your fellow parishioners. Anyone 8
years and older can serve. For info call Diana Martens at 326-1577.
