The Body & Blood Of Christ Sunday,
May 29, 2016
Melchizedek, priest of God Most High, offers bread and wine as a
blessing upon Abram. Jesus fulfills this offering, giving us His own
body and blood under the forms of bread and wine. Thus is our
hunger satisfied in abundance, as we make our pilgrim way to
the heavenly banquet.
Father Lawrence’s Farewell Celebration
Sunday, June 12th
Following the 10:30 am Mass
Holy Family Parish Center
More than five years ago, Father Lawrence Bakut came to Our Lady of
the Lake from his Diocese of Zaria in Nigeria. He had been teaching at
the university there for many years and serving at a large parish near
the university.
At the end of June, this year, he will be returning to his university and
parish work in his Diocese of Zaria, where he has been greatly missed
these past five years.
I want to thank Father Lawrence for his ministry here. His knowledge
and experience as a priest and professor have been a great blessing
for me and for all of us in so many ways.
On Sunday, June 12th everyone is invited to the Holy Family Parish Center at 11:30 am for a
light lunch and to show our appreciation to Father Lawrence. Then it will be our turn to miss
him.
Blessings,
Father Chauncey
Father’s Day, Sunday, June 19th

remembered in a Novena of Masses in his honor on

Come to the Feast
————————————————–——
The Supper of the Lord
Bob Hurd
Laurence Rosania
Refrain: Come, come to the banquet. Come,
come to the feast. Here the hungry find plenty,
here the thirsty shall drink, here at the supper
of Jesus, come to the feast.
Like the child whose fishes and loaves fed the
multitude, in the Lord the little we have, broken
and shared, becomes abundant food.
‘Til the seed is given to earth, it is just one
grain; but once sown its death brings new birth,
the harvest is rich; what’s lost is raised again.
Refrain: Precious body, precious blood, here in
bread and wine; here the Lord prepares the feast
divine. Bread of love is broken now, cup of life is
poured; come, share the supper of the Lord.
This is the bread of God coming down from heav’n,
giving life to us, to all the world.
“I am the living spring of eternal life; you that drink
from me shall not thirst again.”
“I am the bread of heav’n giving life to you; you
that eat this bread shall never die.”
Psalm 110
Nothing But the Blood
You are a priest for ever,
in the line of Melchizedek.
Refrain: O precious is the flow that makes me
white as snow; no other fount I know; nothing but
the blood of Jesus.
What can wash away my sin? Nothing but the
blood of Jesus. What can make me whole again?
Nothing but the blood of Jesus.
For my pardon this I see: nothing but the blood of
Jesus. For my cleansing this my plea: nothing but the
blood of Jesus.
Nothing can for sin atone: nothing but the blood of
Jesus. Naught of good that I have done: nothing but
the blood of Jesus.
This is all my hope and peace: nothing but the
blood of Jesus. This is all my righteousness: nothing
but the blood of Jesus.
Offertory Song

Bread of Life
Bobby Fisher
Bread of life and cup of hope, we come as gift
to you. Change our hearts; fill us with peace.
Transform our lives anew. Open our eyes so that
we might see your presence in one another. Your
life, poured out in love today, unites us all in you.
Loving Lord, Creator God, open our eyes to
see the good that lives in each of us, that called
the world to be. And when we fail to see the good,
when friendships falter and crumble, give us the
courage to forgive that we may live in peace.
Living Word, O Son of God, your love shows
us the way that we may live in harmony, and from
you never stray. Wipe all oppression from our
midst; give us a love for all people. Your song of
justice sing in us, to live for peace today.
SPIRITUAL COMMUNION PRAYER
(For those who are not able to receive Communion at this time)
My Jesus, I believe that You are present in the Most Holy
Sacrament. I love You above all things, and I desire to
receive You into my soul. Since I cannot at this moment
receive You sacramentally, come at least spiritually into my
heart. I embrace You as if You were already there and unite
myself wholly to You. Never permit me to be separated
from You. Amen.

God we praise you! God we bless you! God we

St. Michael the Archangel, defend us in battle. Be our defense
against the wickedness and snares of the devil. May God rebuke
him, we humbly pray, and do thou, O Prince of the heavenly
hosts, by the power of God, thrust into hell, Satan and all the evil
spirits, who prowl about the world seeking the ruin of souls.
Amen.

Comunión

Ven, Ven Al Banquete
Jesús, El Pan de Vida
Bob Hurd
Alberto P. Valero
Gloria a Nuestro Dios
Tradicional
tus hijos esa vez.
cosas y deseo ardientemente recibirte dentro de mi alma;
menos espiritualmente a mi corazón.
Amen.
Canto de Salida
———————————–—
Somos Una Iglesia
Eleazar Cortez
Estribillo: Un solo Señor, un solo Señor. Un
mismo Espíritu, un mismo Espíritu. Somos una
Iglesia.
Vivamos nuestro llamado siendo humildes,
siendo amables y pacientes.
Unidos nos mantendremos con lazos, vivos
lazos, de paz y amor.
Oración a San Miguel Arcángel
Amen.
