de la misa de 8:30 am y culminando con la misa a
las 7:00 pm.
Baptism: Fir st Saturday of the month at 1:00 PM. Parents
must come to the Rectory with the with child’s original birth
certificate at least one or two months in advance. Instruction is
held on the Monday before the Baptism at 7:00 PM. For more
information please contact the Rectory.
Bautismo: Pr imer Sábado de cada mes a las 1:00 PM. Los
padres deben presentarse en la rectoría con el Certificado de
Nacimiento original del niño(a) con uno o dos meses de
anticipación. La clase de preparación es el Lunes antes del

Who is the Trinity? Let us see how St.
Columban Abbot (Irish: 543 – 615 A.D.) describes it in his famous instructions: “As he says
of himself: I am a God close at hand, not a God
far off.” The Trinity is not a God who dwells at a
distance from us. “Then in very truth he dwells in
us, the one who said: I will dwell in them and
walk among them. If we are worthy of his presence with us, then in truth we are made alive by
him as his living members.” St. Paul says: “In
him we live and move and have our being;” and
again: “No one has ever seen him as he is.” No
one must then presume to search for the unsearchable things of God: his nature, the manner
of his existence, his selfhood. These are beyond
telling, beyond scrutiny, beyond investigation.
With simplicity, but also with fortitude, only believe that this is how God is and this is how he
will be, for God is incapable of change. Who
then is God? He is Father, Son and Holy Spirit,
one God. Do not look for any further answers
concerning God. Those who want to understand
the unfathomable depths of God must first consider the world of nature. Knowledge of the Trinity is rightly compared with the depth of the sea.
The Book of Wisdom says: Who will find out
what is so very deep? Let us see, instead, what
the Trinity does. The Father loves totally the Son,
and the Son gives totally himself to the Father,
through the Bond of Love of the Holy Spirit. This
is the Trinity: a communion of Persons. God the
Father created us out of love, together with
Christ and the Holy Spirit, since they are coeternal with the Father. Christ his Son redeemed us,
according to the will of the Father and through
the guidance of the Holy Spirit. Through Christ,
we have also received at Pentecost the Holy Spirit, so that the Trinity may dwell fully in us. No
other God in the Universe creates, redeems, dies
for and wants to dwell in his creatures! Let us
celebrate with joy today Our Most Holy Trinity!

Solemnidad de la Santísima Trinidad
¿Qué es la Trinidad? Comprender teológicamente este misterio es algo imposible. Podemos
ver lo que hace la Trinidad. Es una Comunión de
personas, en la cual el Padre Creador dona todo si
mismo al Hijo, y el Hijo hace totalmente la voluntad del Padre. Padre e Hijo tienen el mismo amor y
los mismos sentimientos por la humanidad. Cristo
es ciertamente también sacerdote, pero lo es para
nosotros, no para sí mismo, ya que él, en nombre
de todo el género humano, presenta al Padre eterno
las aspiraciones y sentimientos religiosos de los
hombres. Es también víctima, pero lo es igualmente
para nosotros, ya que se pone en lugar del hombre
pecador. Por esto, aquella frase del Apóstol:
“Tened entre vosotros los sentimientos propios de
Cristo Jesús,” exige de todos los cristianos que, en
la medida de las posibilidades humanas, reproduzcan en su interior las mismas disposiciones que tenía el divino Redentor cuando ofrecía el sacrificio
de sí mismo: disposiciones de una humilde sumisión, de adoración a la suprema majestad divina, de
honor, alabanza y acción de gracias. Les exige asimismo que asuman en cierto modo la condición de
víctimas, que se nieguen a sí mismos, conforme a
las normas del Evangelio, que espontánea y libremente practiquen la penitencia, arrepintiéndose y
expiando los pecados. Exige finalmente que todos,
unidos a Cristo, muramos místicamente en la cruz,
de modo que podamos hacernos nuestra aquella
sentencia de san Pablo: Estoy crucificado con Cristo. ¿Y el Espíritu Santo? Es el vínculo de amor entre el Hijo y el Padre. Es guía por el Hijo y promesa
que hemos recibido en Pentecostés del Padre por
medio del Hijo. Esta Trinidad nos ha creado, redimido y quiere, por medio del Espíritu Santo, vivir
en nosotros. ¡No hay ningún otro Dios en el Universo que crea, redime y cariñosamente quiere demorar en nosotros para donarnos gratuitamente la
vida eterna!
