Early Childhood Training Institute
Safety & Security Procedures
CPR & First Aid– ($125) One day trainin:g October 2, 23 or Saturday 24—time :9am-5pm. Both
American Red Cross CPR certification and Infant & Child First Aid certifications are valid for
2 years.
Health and Safety– ($250)
Three days training:
October 19, 20 & 22— time: 9am– 5pm This training is
required to become registered or licensed as a Family or Group Family Child Care Provider in
New York State.
Mandated Reporter–
($50)
October 8— time: 1pm– 4pm; provides you with the knowledge and un-
derstanding to make an informed decision in situations involving child abuse or maltreatment
where reporting may or may not be necessary.
Medication Administration Training–($250) October 14— time: 9am– 6pm. This training is re-
quired for child care providers to administer medication to children in their programs. A $100
rebate is available from MAT/SUNY upon successful completion of the MAT training. For
more information on this rebate, log on to www.pdp.albany.edu.
Child Development
($50 ea. training)
Positive Discipline– October 15— time: 1pm– 4pm. Examine different areas of early literacy
such as story telling, reading readiness and other various reading methods and models appropriate for early childhood education.
Business and Management
Becoming a Child Care Provider- ($20) October 7— time: 9:30am-12pm. Are you interested in
being a part of the child care team? Want to know how you can join? Come in and be a part of
an informative dialogue where all your questions concerning child care will be answered as best
as possible. You’ll also be guided through the process of becoming a NYS registered Family
Child care Provider.
Fundraising Fundamentals- ($50) October 8— time: 9am– 12pm; in this lively session you’ll learn
how to identify the people in your midst who can help you raise funds for your organization.
You’ll also be taught how to engage family and community members in your fundraising campaigns. Note: please walk with you address book (digital or paper).
