H E A LT H & S A F E T Y CPR & FIRST AID TRAINING FOR INFANTS & TODDLERS (9AM— 5PM) JUNE 13, JUNE 14
Prepares caregivers on how to respond during infant, toddler and child cardiopulmonary, respiratory arrests,
choking emergencies and how to provide first aid.
INFECTIOUS DISEASE CONTROL (10AM—1PM) JUNE 20
This workshop helps caregivers gain a better understanding of how to prevent, recognize, and manage infectious
diseases in child care settings.
HEALTH & SAFETY (9—5PM) JUNE 9, 10 & 12 (3 day training) JUNE 21 & 28 (2 day training)
A 3-day series covering OCFS training modules such as diapering and nutrition. Required for all providers
wishing to become registered or licensed as a Family or Group provider in NY State
NUTRITION & FITNESS 9AM—12PM JUNE 14
A 3 hour workshop designed for staff to promote children’s health by nutritious snacks /menú with new ideas
according to CACFP and OCFS new guidelines . This sesión will also help to improve staff’s own health by life
style changes.
CHILD DEVELOPMENT P R O M O T I N G E A R L Y L I T E R A C Y (9AM—12PM) JUNE 18
This workshop leads caregivers to explore the importance and the benefits of play, and how to facilitate various
play activities while providing opportunities to discover concepts such as matter and cause and effect
relationships.
M U S I C I N E A R L Y C H I L D H O O D P R O G R A M S (1PM—4PM) JUNE 17
We will explore how we can use music and movement every day with young children to promote development
through songs, poems, and use of musical instruments.
S O C I A L & E M O T I O N A L D E V E L O P M E N T (9AM—12PM) JUNE 17
Hands on workshop that will explore strategies to help develop confidence children. Participants will have the
opportunity to deepen their understanding of social and emotional milestones, temperaments to understand child
behavior and guidance to support individual needs of the children in your program
CHILD CARE MANAGEMENT
BOOKKEEPING & RECORDS MANAGEMENT FOR PROVIDERS (1PM—4PM) JUNE 14
Providers will learn strategies to improve their bookkeeping and program record keeping practices.
Participants will sample various paper and electronic systems to determine the best one for their program.
J U S T C A U S E (9AM—12PM) JUNE 26
This session will explore the basic requirements of proper workplace discipline. Ensure that you have proper
policies and procedures that can withstand employee challenges.
