Safety & Security Procedures
CPR & First Aid–($125) July 10— time:9am– 5pm; both American Red Cross CPR certification and Infant
& Child First Aid certifications are valid for 2 years.
Health and Safety–($250) July 6, 7 & 9— time: 9am– 5pm or Saturday July 18 & 25 time: 9am– 5:30pm;
required to become registered or licensed as a Family or Group Family Child Care Provider in New York
State.
Infectious Disease Control– ($50) July 8— time: 10am– 1pm; This workshop expounds on how to recognize, manage and prevent infectious diseases in your child care settings while explaining the procedures as per state in other related health issues.
Medication Administration Training–($250) July 15— time: 9am– 6pm; this training is required for child
care providers to administer medication to children in their programs. A $100 rebate is available from
MAT/SUNY upon successful completion of the MAT training. For more information on this rebate, log

Child Development
($50 ea. training)
Approaches to Learning– July 16— time: 1pm-4pm; Explore strategies and approaches to effectively
promote learning and development in the children in your care.
Positive Discipline– July 16— time: 9am-12pm; Examine parts of early literacy such as story telling
reading readiness and other various reading methods and models appropriate for early childhood education.
Business and Management
Becoming a Child Care Provider- ($20) July 22—time: 9:30am-12pm; are you interested in being a part
of the child care team? Want to know how you can join? Come in and be a part of an informative
dialogue where all your questions concerning child care will be answered as best as possible. You’ll also
be guided through the process of becoming a NYS registered Family Child care Provider.

lograr disciplina positiva y a diseñar lista de reglas para el salón de clases. Los participantes actuarán activamente aplicando técnicas de disciplina positiva para promover en los niños conducta apropiada y autocontrol.
