Looking Forward
I am continually enthused by the energy I feel from each of you as I travel throughout
the world to share the Forever message. In my recent travels to the South Pacific and
Southeast Asia, I was again reminded of what an incredible opportunity this business
is and what it can do to make a difference in the lives of so many people.
So often on these trips I learn poignant lessons. Navaz and I visited the magnificent
Angkor Wat Temple in Cambodia, and it was here I learned one such lesson. During
our visit to this World Heritage Site I learned how after the initial construction began
in the early 12th century, during subsequent centuries, different rulers kept working to build upon or restore parts
of the temple complex. I was struck with the thought of how each generation helps to build upon the foundation
that the previous generation created or built. As I pondered this, my thoughts were turned to our great Forever
business that we have spent the last 33 years building. How will it continue to grow and flourish? The obvious
answer is through recruiting, training and building a whole new generation of Distributors who have the same
desire for health and wealth that I have seen throughout the years from so many of you. New Distributors are the
lifeblood of your business, and like those who have continued to build the Angkor Wat Temple throughout the
centuries, they will build upon the incredible foundation you have helped to establish.
As I noted at the recent Super Rally, we continue to provide you with all the tools you need to find, recruit
and train this new generation: from the powerful tools that MyFLPBiz provides to help grow and manage your
business; to the incredible new products like FAB and ARGI+ that appeal to the very generation we are looking to
recruit; to the incredible online training and information tools we have now and continue to develop, like the new
“Getting Started” training and monthly webinars. As you fully utilize these tools, your business will be energized
and an exciting new generation of Distributors will be drawn to you and what you are doing to be so successful.
This is truly an opportunity like no other!
Before I close I want to give special thanks to all of you who are making
such a difference through your contributions to Forever Giving. The
recent distribution of 7,000 mosquito nets to the malaria-ravaged country
of Uganda will make an incredible difference in these people’s lives. It
was through your kindness that we were able to make this, and our work
in Haiti, possible. I know that there is great need throughout the world,
and through your generous donations Forever Giving will continue to
look for ways to help. But I want to remind you that the greatest way we
can help people and truly make a difference in their lives is by bringing
them the Forever business. Forever is realizing incredible growth in so
many places that people thought it could not work. Many parts of Africa
and Southeast Asia are realizing fantastic success and bringing people to a
standard of living that previously they only dreamt about.
Helping people realize their dreams of health and wealth is the greatest
work I know, and I thank all of you for what you have done, and continue
to do, to make it a reality in the lives of so many people around the world!

Exercising at Any Age
Not only is exercise important for preventing illnesses, it is also
important for improving quality of life in all of its stages. Studies
have shown that our increasingly sedentary lifestyles have created
a trend towards weight gain and obesity that can be thwarted
with regular exercise. So how should people of all ages integrate
exercise into their busy lifestyles?
If you are not exercising regularly by your mid-twenties, you
will start to see a decline in muscle mass and metabolic rate. So
how can busy young adults add exercise to their already strained
schedules? The most helpful option would be to make time.
Most people spend up to 2 hours a day in front of the television.
Cut that time in half and use the extra hour to go for a brisk
walk. If your life is already jam packed with work, school, family
time, and errands, recover a half hour a day through reassigning
chores or getting up earlier in the morning.

decades, the building of an FLP Independent Distributorship
has taken on new and exciting dimensions. Every generation of Distributor, since the company began in 1978, has

30. There’s no doubt that the future growth and strength

A Whole New Generation of Distributors

At times, we may feel hesitant in approaching young people
about the business opportunity. Perhaps we think they haven’t
matured enough to appreciate what we have to offer; or maybe
we think they don’t take life seriously; or they don’t have goals
or dreams, let alone the ambition to go after them. This is a
totally wrong perception of the younger generation.
I feel I can speak from personal experience about sponsoring
the new generation of Distributors, because I was once part of
it. I was fortunate to be introduced to MLM when I was only
15 years old, long before FLP was created. And even though I
couldn’t officially be involved as a Distributor until I turned 18,
I was helping my parents with presenting the opportunity and
marketing the products. Even at that age, I had desires to make
a lot of money, and those desires only increased as I passed into
my twenties, married, and had children. I joined FLP when I
was in my 20’s, and I was considered at that time as one of the
“younger” generation of Distributors. As a young person, I had
seen others achieve great financial success in MLM, and I was
determined to do the same in FLP.
I was attracted to FLP partly because of the cutting-edge
technology at that time that allowed all Distributors to order
direct and receive their bonuses directly from the Home Office.
I had lots of ambition and the energy to go out and make it
happen, but just as important to my success was the fact that I
had an upline (who were a generation ahead of me) that helped
me along the way. This was especially helpful as I sponsored
people: any credibility I lacked because of my age was made up
by those in my upline who had more experience and success
than I did.
Young people today have the same desires for success and financial independence as I had when I was their age. Fortunately,
the company has kept pace by implementing the cutting
edge technologies and products that will attract today’s new
generation. These include the company website for ordering
and retailing product; the MyFLPBiz function for managing
and promoting individual Distributors’ businesses; Facebook,
Google, YouTube, and FLPmedia.com, for advertising and
presenting the product and opportunity; and the introduction

Universal Beauty:
Miss Universe Contestants
spend a day on Forever Resorts’
houseboats in Lake Mead
A bevy of bikini-clad beauties stopped traffic posing in front
of the famous “Welcome to Las Vegas” sign, then set up a
lemonade stand in the Fashion Show Mall to benefit the
Nevada Cancer Institute. Next, they were off to the World
Market Center to enjoy a special dinner prepared by several
world-class celebrity chefs.
Such is the busy schedule of Miss Universe pageant contestants prior to their international competition. That schedule
also included a day on Forever Resorts houseboats on Lake
Mead when 30 young women posed, waved, and smiled on
board their floating hotel.
The contestants arrived during mid-morning, with some
taking the houseboat slide plunge and others taking advantage of wave runner rides before traveling some ten miles to
use Hoover Dam as a background scene for further photos.
Accompanied everywhere by their own Miss Universe
security force, ten Callville staffers drove vessels and assisted
where needed during the half-day visit. Lucky workers that
day included: licensed captain Steve Biggs, Matt Harvey,
David French, Kim Roundtree, Jim Leatherman, Ken
Williams, Ben Chapman, James Wiggington, Erica Pope and
Jonathan Hart.

My wife and I are both healthcare professionals – she’s a
Registered Nurse and I am a Respiratory Therapist. Our jobs
can be physically and mentally demanding at times, and with
no foreseeable hope of getting out of the “rat race” except at
retirement. Stress manifested in our physical bodies as fatigue,
aches and pains and weight gain, among other things.
We were introduced to Forever Living Products in November
2008 and became Recognized Managers in 5 months. We also
became members of the Conquistador and Business Builders’
Club during our first year of business. We accomplished
these by telling people how FLP has improved our health
and finances, with the support of our uplines and downlines,
through training and having a good learning attitude, by
providing our customers with 100% service, and by always
setting aside time to build our FLP business. Our kids also help
out – Nathan (14 yrs) helps with product inventory, and Joshua
(6 yrs) handles the sample packets.
The products helped our entire family become so much
healthier, and the business provides us with a very good
supplemental income that helps with the mortgage and car
payments. We have met a lot of wonderful and very successful
people from different parts of the world through FLP, and we
have learned from some of them. We also earned our very first
all-expenses-paid trip to Arizona for the BBC 2010 retreat, and
FLP helped develop in us the confidence to speak in public and
approach people. More importantly, FLP has given us hope
and a way out of the “rat race”!

NAVAZ GHASWALA
From Secretary to Executive Vice President
It is often expressed that an office reflects on the personality of
its owner.
I am sitting in a breathtakingly beautiful executive office that
overlooks a golf course and a lake. The space is unique and oneof-a-kind with pictures, papers, gifts and mementos telling a
story of global travel, family, loyalty and hard work.
This office is ‘home’ to Navaz Ghaswala, Executive Vice
President of Forever Living Products. I am here to write an
article recognizing her 30 years of service and to learn a little
more about the woman behind the title. She greets me, and
I am struck by her poise and warmth. Those subconscious
first impressions race through my mind, and easily I draw the
conclusion that this is a “giant among men.” In a world where
corporate loyalty is measured in months not years, it is hard not
to be impressed by a career that goes back as far as when ‘Apple’
was something that you ate and a cell phone was a prop from
‘Mission: Impossible.’
Originally from Karachi, Pakistan, Navaz followed her surgeon
husband to the USA, where they found themselves in the
southwestern desert of Phoenix, Arizona. An accomplished
secretary, Navaz quickly found a job with a large property
management company called Del Webb. It was at Del Webb
where she met her new boss, Mr. Rex Maughan. Rex was a
successful vice president and was enjoying a career that had
excellent prospects for the future.
Navaz recalls “I worked closely with Rex for some time and was
quickly impressed by his intelligence and his love of people. He was
just as full of energy back then, and his inner desire to help others
was a powerful motivator.”
It wasn’t long before Rex approached Navaz with his idea of
establishing a new company centered on a plant called Aloe
Vera. “As the wife of a doctor back in the early 80’s, the thought
of telling my husband that I had left Del Webb to join a start-up
Aloe Vera company was not high on my to-do list,” says Navaz.
“Although I had helped with some of the initial correspondence and
even helped write the first company polices, I resisted the move to
officially work for FLP. I was secure in my job and had two small
children with a husband in his medical internship, so the timing
was not right.”
Navaz’s path to Forever will be familiar to many of you -- it was
product-led. One morning she mentioned to Rex that she had a
sore throat and, of course, he jumped at the opportunity to share
a brand new product. He gave her one of the very first Aloe
Vera Gels to drink. “The initial taste confirmed my decision to stay
at Del Webb!” Navaz laughs. “It was a taste that I will never forget,
but I did start to feel better. Rex then gave me some Aloe Vera Gelly
for my daughter’s diaper rash. I was reluctant to use it at first but
my mom, who was born in Africa and was more open-minded
about herbs and natural remedies, started to use the Gelly on the
baby. The results were amazing and I showed my husband. The
rest, as they say, is history.”
Rex fondly remembers the beginnings. “Navaz was a little
skeptical at first, and I understood her reluctance,” he says, “but
after she experienced the power of our products, even though we only
had just a couple at the time, she was hooked!” She joined Rex and
together, with a small and committed team, they started Forever.
A remarkably skilled and dedicated woman, Navaz quickly rose
to the top of the Forever Living executive team. Balancing the
demands of managing a growing business and her commitment
as a mother of two was not easy, and at times it took its toll.
“It has been a remarkable journey so far, and I have
loved every minute. But there were times when I was
tired and I wondered if I was missing too much at home.
However, over the years I have learned from Rex that
in whatever we do there will be ups and downs, and we
grow the most when times are the toughest.”
For a brief moment Rex joins us and expresses
his genuine appreciation for his corporate right
hand. “We would not be who we are today without
Navaz’s constant support and guidance. One of the
smartest moves we made was to invite her on board
at the beginning. She epitomizes all that is good
about Forever. Not only is she is a valued and trusted
executive, but she is also a wonderful and irreplaceable
friend to my family and me.”
Stephen Covey speaks of management synergy, where the whole
is greater than the sum of its parts. When you look at Forever
Living as a corporate structure you can see this concept in
action. Navaz will be the first to tell you her contribution has
been no greater than any other member of the team, but as we
share our good-byes I cannot help but draw two conclusions:
1) I met a keystone in the success of Forever today; 2) Her story
mirrors the story of each one of us. As Distributors in Forever,
if we are loyal, hard-working and willing to fight through the
tough times and celebrate the good times we, too, can realize
our dreams.

As most of you know, at the Super Rally we raised funds to distribute
mosquito nets to the most underprivileged children in Uganda to protect them
from the devastating effects of malaria. In September, I had the privilege to

the slums of Kampala, Uganda. It was an emotional and life-changing experience for me, and I have never been more proud to be a member of the Forever
