A Catholic Workshop on marriage, sexuality, natural and
responsible parenthood for married and engaged couples,

Rosary daily! This prayer-form will transform your

through the eyes of Mary in the joyful, luminous sorrowful and glorious mysteries. Let us pray with confidence and compassion for the conversion of poor sinners, beginning with ourselves. Mary, the Mother of Jesus and our Mother also, knows exactly what we need
and how to ask. The Rosary is a powerful work of mercy
and a mighty weapon for vanquishing our invisible enemy. The Marello Bookstore has rosaries and instruction

CROSS CATHOLIC OUTREACH
Father Patrick Collins will be visiting our parish next
weekend to speak at all Masses on behalf of Cross Catholic Outreach which was founded to create a meaningful
link between parishes in America and the priests and
nuns working in the Church overseas in the Caribbean,
Africa, Asia Central and South America.
ST. MARELLO BOOKSTORE
The bookstore is open next Sunday from 7:30 a.m. to
2:00 pm and 4:30 to 8 pm.. October is the month of the
Rosary. Stop by and purchase " How to Pray the Rosary"
or one of the other many rosary booklets that are available. We have lots of new clearance items: books, CDs
and more. We are need of additional volunteers for the
holiday season. Consider sharing your gifts of time, talent
and treasure at the bookstore. If interested, call the
bookstore or stop by and set up a training time.

MEN’S CONFERENCE
The Catholic Men of Faith’s Men's Conference is next
Saturday at Holy Spouses Hall from 8am to 4pm. Bishop
Ochoa will be presiding over the Mass and we have 4
great speakers that will be presenting at the Conference. The cost is $25 and includes Breakfast and
Lunch. Young Men (13-18) may attend with a Parent or
Guardian for $10. Tickets will be sold after the English

PILGRIMAGE TO THE SHRINE OF ST. JOSEPH
SJIM (Family of St. Joseph) has chartered a bus to attend
the annual pilgrimage to the Shrine of St. Joseph in Santa
Cruz on Saturday, October 26. The superior General, Fr.
Miguel Piscopo, and Fr. Brian Crawford will be the
principal speakers. The cost of $40 per person ( nonrefundable) includes lunch. You may pay at the rectory. For information call 673-1716 or 674-4398.

Our parish, under the direction of the Young Ladies’ Institute, is creating a church picture directory. Don’t get
left out. Sign up after any of the Masses this weekend by
the church parking lot. You will receive a free professional sitting, a copy of the directory and a free 8x10 photo.
Photo sessions begin October 8 - 12 and 14 - 17. Be sure

The Family of St. Joseph is sponsoring a Burrito sale next
Sunday, from 9 am to 12:30 pm in the school cafeteria.

TREASURES OF THE CHURCH
St. Joachim Parish presents a teaching and exposition of
Sacred Relics on Friday October 25 at 6 pm. Father
Carlos Martins of the Companions of the Cross will
bring with him over 150 relics of saints, some as old as
2000 years. There will also be present a portion of the
veil of Our Lady, as well as one of the largest remaining
pieces of the True Cross in the world. Those in attendance will be able to examine and venerate each relic. In
the Church’s history many miracles and healings have
been worked in the presence of relics, and many have
been healed through this ministry. Please do not miss
this opportunity. You are encouraged to bring your articles of devotion (rosaries, holy cards, etc.) and pictures
of ill friends/family members which you will be able to
touch to the reliquaries.
