Siendo el servidor de Dios no es siempre fácil!
Siempre pensamos que “hablamos por Dios,” pero
esto es peligroso porque no tenemos la mente de
Dios. La primera lectura se trata de las diferentes maneras
que pensamos– ¡Dios piensa en milenios mientras que
nosotros en días y horas! Nosotros podríamos ver que lo
justo debería de pasar al instante, Dios lo ve en un contexto mucho mayor y más tolerante. Deja que las personas
aprendan de sus errores y tanto de que sean aprehendidos
por sus transgresiones y ser castigados. El evangelio es
una ilustración de este principio- ¡Los enemigos pueden
hacer algo que echen a perder la cosecha! Pero, al final,
necesitamos el trigo y la cascarilla para empezar el fuego
para cocinar el pan, entonces al final se forma un balance
– pero de maneras que no había pensado al principio. Es
más, cuando TODO es útil, las cosas crecen de una manera inimaginable. Por tanto, se nos pide a sirvamos a un
Dios Quien es más grande que lo que nos imaginamos, y
Cuyas maneras son más allá de nuestro entendimiento…
entonces cuando hablemos de Él, hablemos de su amor y
no de su juicio, puesto que su juicio es más perfecto para
apreciarlo y más tolerante para comprenderlo, y todos
queremos esta tolerancia cuando nos toca, ¿no es así? Entonces, esta semana, alabemos a un Dios Quien es suficientemente grande y suficientemente sabio para que nos
encuentre, como también a quienes llegamos a conocer–
ambos en la amistad y en la adversidad– un TESORO.

eing "God's Servant in the world" isn't
easy! We sometimes think we "speak for"
God--always dangerous, for we don't have
the mind of God. The first reading deals with the difference in the way we think--God thinks in millennia, we
think in days and hours! What we see as something
"just" that should happen immediately, God sees in a
context that is both much larger and more "lenient," as it
is always leading individuals and peoples to learn from
their mistakes and reform, rather than being caught in a
moment of transgression and punished. The Gospel is an
illustration of this principle--enemies can do things that
seem to "ruin" our crop! But, in the end, we need both
wheat, and the chaff to start the fire to bake the bread we
make with it, so all is somehow brought into alignment-but in ways we wouldn't have suspected at first sight.
And what is more, when ALL is useful, things grow in
ways otherwise unimaginable. So, we are asked to serve
a God Who is larger than we can imagine, and Whose
ways our beyond our understanding...so when we speak
of Him, it is best always to speak of His love, not His
judgment, for the latter is more refined than we can appreciate and more lenient than we can comprehend-though we all want that leniency when it comes to us,
don't we? So, this week, let's worship a God Who is big
enough and wise enough to find each one of us, as well
as those we meet--both in friendship and in adversity--a
TREASURE.

ast week's readings presented us a parable about
sowing. This week we have a parable that
speaks about tending the growing plants as we
await the harvest. Both of these weeks we see good and evil
existing together and ask why God has allowed this? Doesn't God want us to make the church an enclave of purity in
a sinful world, eliminating the wrong-headed and halfhearted? Our reading suggests that it is not easy to distinguish saints from sinners some times. Appearances can be
deceiving. We need to leave the judgment of souls to God.
For it is God, as our second reading states, who is "the one
who searches hearts." On our part, we should be kind to all.
a lectura de la semana pasada se trató de una parábola sobre la siembra. Esta semana tenemos un
parábola que nos habla sobre las plantas que crecen
mientras esperamos la cosecha. En estas dos semanas vemos al
bien y al mal que existen juntos y preguntan: ¿Por qué Dios lo
ha permitido? ¿Acaso Dios no quiere que hagamos de la Iglesia
un lugar puro en un mundo de pecado, eliminando al que hace
mal y con un corazón frío? Nuestras lecturas nos dicen que a
veces no es fácil distinguir a los santos de los pecadores. Las
apariencias nos pueden engañar. Necesitamos dejar que Dios
se encargue de juzgar a las almas. Puesto que es Dios, como
los dice la segunda lectura, “quien busca corazones.” Por nuestra parte, deberíamos de ser amables con todos.

Once again offering parishioners and guests easy steps to
work with your dream and their meaning. It's been awhile
since we last met, and you have continued to ask when we
can meet again. We have scheduled August 3 from 12:30
to 2:30 PM as our gathering time. Location to be at St.
Agatha and exact meeting space finalized closer to the date.
We will offer a refresher introduction and answer any initial
question you might have. As time permits we can work on
one or two dreams so come with your journals and written
description of your dream.

Meal Program by donating food for the meal, preparing the
meal bags, serving the guest in the
Grotto Parking Lot and cleaning up
following the distribution of the
meals. God's grace and loving
support of our outreach to those in
above volunteers, Flora with a box
loaded with bagels and cream
cheese and the hands and talents
of Concepcion and Tiara. God
does provide as we in the
S.H.A.R.E. Ministry witness each
Saturday when He sends these
His wingless angels and saints
to serve our guests in the form
of Ministry Leaders and volunteers. Amen

Sale on Sunday August 3, 2014,
8AM-1:30Pm in the school yard
behind the church, all the proceeds from this sale will go directly for the Free back to school
supplies for the children. For
those of you who

SWEET POTATO PIE know
that she is donating a few for
sale as well as one to raffle for
the Bake Sale. These go fast so
come early to get a slice or
a whole pie.
