The mission of Maxwell Elementary School is to provide our students with an inquiry based environment, where they can develop into compassionate internationally -minded
citizens who create, collaborate, communicate, and think critically in order to be
successful in the world.
Winter Program
Students will be participating in Maxwell’s annual Winter Program on
Friday, December 11 from 1-2pm. We ask that students wear a red or
green shirt and a Santa Hat. We wil be sending home lyrics of the
song they will be singing. Please help your child practice singing the
song. We thank you for your help and support!

Rainbow Sight Words
There are many sight words students need to learn this year.
To help support them in learning these words, we will be
grouping the words in different color lists and, red being the
first one. We will be sending the first list this week. We ask that you help and
support your child in learning to read and write the words from memory. When
students are ready, they will be tested for that list. When they pass, they will
receive a new list and receive a special award. Contact us if you have any
questions!

Programa de Invierno
Los estudiantes van a participar en el anual Programa de Invierno de
Maxwell. El programa va ser el Viernes 11 de Diciembre 1-2pm. Por
favor que los estudiantes usen camisetas rojas o verdes y un gorro
de Santa. Vamos a mandar a la casa la letra de las canciones que
van a cantar. Por favor ayude a su niño (a) a practicar las
canciones. Muchas gracias por su ayuda!
Hay muchas “palabras de vista” que los estudiantes necesitan
aprender este ano. Para ayudar a los estudiantes a aprender
estas palabras vamos a hacer grupos de palabras en diferentes
listas de colores, la lista roja va a ser la primera. Vamos a mandar esta lista roja
esta semana. Necesitamos que ayude y esfuerce a su niño (a) a que aprenda a
escribir y leer estas palabras de memoria. Cuando los estudiantes estén listos,
van a hacer una prueva de esa lista. Cuando pasen la prueba van a recibir una
nueva lista y un reconocimiento. Si tiene alguna pregunta, hable con la maestra!
