FR. NESTORIO FOR HIS VACATION: Fr Nestorio is
planning to have his annual vacation beginning from
August 10, 2016. He will be traveling to Uganda and
returns the second week of September. Let us include
father in our prayers that he may have a restful vacation
and that he may have a safe trip to and from home.
THANKS TO THE YOUTHS AND ENGLISH ROSARY
GROUP: This is to thank St. Angela Merici Youth Group
who organized a trip and out of the trip gave a very
generous donation to our Church. May St. Charles Lwanga
Patron of the Youth continue to intercede for you. Also, we
thank the English Rosary Group for their donation . Amen.

Angela Merici School is now accepting applications for
2016-2017 school year grades 1-6. Financial assistance

THE TRANSFIGURATION OF THE LORD: Saturday
August 6, 2016 will the Feast of the Transfiguration of the
Lord. Although we will celebrate the Liturgy on the 19th
Sunday in Ordinary Time, let us also keep in mind this Feast
on
that
day.
THE ASSUMPTION OF THE BLESSED VIRGIN MARY:
Monday August 15, 2016 we will celebrate the Feast of the
Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary. On that day there
will be Mass in English in honor of the Blessed Virgin Mary
at 1:00p.m and 7:30p.m. in Spanish. You are welcome to
bring to the church field products, garden or orchards for
blessing.
REGISTRATION FOR CCD: We have begun our annual
Registration of children and Adults who wish to join our
religious education classes CCD to receive any of the
sacraments of initiation: Baptism, Holy Communion and
confirmation. To register for Baptism classes one must
come with his/her own Birth Certificate. To register for
July 24th 2016
Holy Communion classes one has to bring his/her own
Baptism Certificate. Those for confirmation classes must
bring both Baptism and communion certificates.
Registration is done in our parish office during week days
from 9:30 to 4:00pm and every Saturday from 10:00am to
12:30pm. However Our CCD forms are provided at the
back of the Church for all Children and Adults who wish to
join our Religious education program (CCD). Each student
has to bring a contribution of $50.00. Classes will begin on
September 3rd 2016. For more information call

volunteers who always offer their time and energy to clean
and decorate the church and the sacristy. Kindly let us

Though we be "but dust and ashes," we can presume to
draw near and speak boldly to our Lord, as Abraham
dares in this week’s First Reading. But even Abraham—
the friend of God , our father in the faith —did not know
the intimacy that we know as children of Abraham, heirs
of the blessings promised to his descendants.
The mystery of prayer, as Jesus reveals to His disciples in
this week’s Gospel, is the living relationship of beloved
sons and daughters with their heavenly Father. Our
prayer is pure gift, made possible by the "good gift" of
the Father—the Holy Spirit of His Son. It is the fruit of the
New Covenant by which we are made children of God in
Christ Jesus. Through the Spirit given to us in Baptism,
we can cry to Him as our Father—knowing that when we
call He will answer.
Jesus teaches His disciples to persist in their prayer, as
Abraham persisted in begging God's mercy for the
innocent of Sodom and Gomorrah. For the sake of the
one just Man, Jesus, God spared the city of man from
destruction , "obliterating the bond against us," as Paul
says in this week’s Epistle. On the Cross, Jesus bore the
guilt of us all, canceled the debt we owed to God, the
death we deserved to die for our transgressions. We pray
as ones who have been spared, visited in our affliction,
saved from our enemies.
We pray always a prayer of thanksgiving, which is the
literal meaning of Eucharist. We have realized the
promise of this week’s Psalm: We worship in His holy
temple, in the presence of angels, hallowing His name. In
confidence we ask, knowing that we will receive, that He
will bring to completion what He has done for us—raising
us from the dead, bringing us to everlasting life along
with Him.

SANTA ANGELA MERICI: Se trata de dar la bienvenida a
grupos devocionales crecen, también lo hacen sus
necesidades. Nos damos cuenta de lo difícil que a veces se
convierte cuando los miembros se encuentran con algún
problema debido al espacio limitado. Para hacer frente a
este reto, los grupos parroquiales comenzarán a reunirse
en el sótano Convento. Muchas gracias por su
cooperación. Favor dejar todo limpio después de cada
reunión.

INSCRIPCIÓN PARA EL CCD: Hemos comenzado nuestra
registración anual de los niños y adultos que deseen unirse
a nuestras clases de educación religiosa CCD para recibir
alguno de los sacramentos de la iniciación cristiana:
Bautismo, Comunión y Confirmación. Para inscribirse en las
clases de bautismo debe traer su certificado de
nacimiento. Para inscribirse en las clases de la Sagrada
Comunión tiene que traer su certificado de bautismo.
Para las clases de confirmación debe traer los certificados
del bautismo y de comunión. La inscripción se hace en
nuestra oficina de la parroquia durante los días de semana
9:30-4:00pm y los sábados 10 a.m.-12:30p.m.. Sin embargo
los formularios del CCD están en la parte posterior de la
Iglesia. Cada estudiante debe traer una contribución de
$50.00. Las clases comenzarán el 3 de septiembre 2016.

LA TRANSFIGURATION DEL SENOR: El Sábado, 06 de
Agosto de 2016 la fiesta de la Transfiguración del Señor.
Aunque celebramos la liturgia en el domingo 19 del tiempo
ordinario, que también tenga en cuenta esta fiesta ese día.
LA ASUNCION DE LA SANTISIMA VIRGIN MARIA: El
Lunes, 15 de agosto de 2016 celebraremos la fiesta de la
Asunción de la Santísima Virgen María. Ese día habrá Misa
en inglés en honor a la Santísima Virgen María en 1:00p.m
y 7:30 en español. Todos están invitados y traigan
productos del campo ejemplo: plantas o huertos . Después
de la misa habrá bendición.

Dios! Tu eres el rostro visible del Padre invisible, del Dios
que manifiesta su omnipotencia sobre todo con el perdón y
la misericordia: haz que, en el mundo, la iglesia sea el rostro
visible de Ti, su Señor, resucitado y glorioso.
El Papa Francisco nos llama a la fe: confiar en Dios,
perdonar y rezar como Abraham. Aquí unas aplicaciones
posibles a las lecturas de este domingo: La encíclica tiene
23 referencias a Abraham, quien es el sujeto de la primera
lectura. En la segunda lectura San Pablo habla del
bautismo que igualmente esta mencionado 23 veces en
"Lumen Fidei." Como Jesus en el Evangelio, el Papa
Francisco insiste que lejos de ser opuesta al buscar, la fe
verdadera implica buscar, pedir y tocar.
En cuanto al tema del perdón que vemos en el evangelio
de hoy, el Papa Francisco escribe: La fe afirma también la
posibilidad del perdón, que muchas veces necesita tiempo,
esfuerzo, paciencia y compromiso; perdón posible cuando
se descubre que el bien es siempre más originario y más
fuerte que el mal, que la palabra con la que Dios afirma
nuestra vida es más profunda que todas nuestras
negaciones. Por lo demás, incluso desde un punto de vista
simplemente antropológico, la unidad es superior al
conflicto; hemos de contar también con el conflicto, pero
experimentarlo debe llevarnos a resolverlo, a superarlo,
transformándolo en un eslabón de una cadena, en un paso
más hacia la unidad.
El Papa Francisco nos llama a la fe: confiar en Dios,
perdonar y rezar como Abraham. Abahama es el gran
modelo para esta fe. Como vemos hoy pone sus
necesidades ante Dios con confianza. San Pablo nos dice
que por fe no solamente hemos sido sepultados con Jesus
sino levantado con el. Jesus nos reta confiar en Dios tanto
como Abraham, "Pidan y se les dará, busquen y
encontraran, toquen y se les abrirá." Amen.

JUBILEO DE LA MISERICORDIA
Señor Jesucristo, tu has ensenado a ser misericordioso
como el Padre del cielo, y nos has dicho que quien te ve, lo
ve también a El. Muéstranos tu rostro y obtendremos la
salvación. Tu mirada llena de amor libero a Zaqueo y a
Mateo de la esclavitud del dinero; a la adultera y a la
Magdalena de buscar la felicidad solamente en una
creatura; hizo llorar a Pedro luego de la traición y aseguro
el Paraíso al ladrón arrepentido.
Haz que cada uno de nosotros escuche como propia la
palabra que dijiste a la samaritana: Si conocieras el don de

de debilidad para que sientan sincera compasión por los
que se encuentran en la ignorancia o en el error: haz quien
se acerque a uno de ellos se sienta esperado, amado y
perdonado por Dios.
Manda tu Espíritu y conságranos a todos con su unción
para que el Jubileo de la Misericordia sea un ano de gracia
del Señor y tu Iglesia pueda, con renovado entusiasmo,
llevar la Buena Nueva a los pobres proclamar la libertad a
los prisioneros y oprimidos y restituir la vista a los ciegos.
Te lo pedimos por intercesión de María, madre de la
Misericordia, a ti que vives y reinas con el Padre y el
Espíritu Santo por los siglos de los siglos. Amen.

OF MERCY.
Lord Jesus Christ, you have taught us to be merciful like the
heavenly Father, and have told us that whoever sees you
sees Him. Show us your face and we will be saved.
Your loving gaze freed Zacchaeus and Matthew from being
enslaved by money; the adulteress and Magdalene from
seeking happiness only in created things; made Peter weep
after his betrayal, and assured Paradise to the repentant
thief. Let us hear, as if addressed to each one of us, the
words that you spoke to the Samaritan woman: “if you knew
the gift of God!”
You are the visible face of the invisible Father, of the God
who manifests his power above all by forgiveness and
mercy: let the Church be your visible face in the world, its
Lord risen and glorified. You willed that your ministers
would also be clothed in weakness in order that they may
feel compassion for those in ignorance and error: Let
everyone who approaches them feel sought after, loved, and
forgiven by God.
Send your Spirit and consecrate every one of us with its
anointing, so that the Jubilee of Mercy may be a year of
Grace from the Lord, and your Church, with renewed
enthusiasm, may bring good news to the poor, proclaim
liberty to captives and the oppressed, and restore sight to
the blind.
We ask this through the intercession of Mary, Mother of
Mercy, you who live and reign with the Father and the Holy
Spirit for ever and ever. Amen.
