"Peace Be With You"
As we continue to pray for peace in our
world, it may surprise us to hear Jesus say in
today's Gospel "I have come not to establish
peace, but division". My thought on this passage
is that we cannot compromise the true values of
the Gospel, even in the face of family
disharmony, and still find the peace of Jesus. I
see a parallel in the "political correctness" of our
day: I cannot speak or act on my beliefs because
they may offend a non believer.
If we deny or dilute the teachings which
Jesus gave us, we will never find the peace he
promised.
Today we will sing the song Peace as the
gifts are prepared. The words to this song
outline the true peace that Jesus came to bring.
Take it home with you and sing it in your heart,
and the peace of Jesus will grow within you.
Peace I leave with you my friends
peace the world cannot give.
Peace I leave with you my friends,
so that your joy be ever full.

CONTINUING EDUCATION CLASS
In the 2016-2017 school year, we will be offering
a Continuing Education class for young people
who have already received the Sacrament of Confirmation. Father Janusz will be teaching this
class to continue formation in the Faith. The class
will be held on Tuesday evenings at no charge. If
you are interested, please sign up for it at the Religious Ed office (Check schedule in page 5)
The Knights of Columbus Council 9267 will be
meeting Thursday, August 18. The officers will
meet at 7pm, following there will be a repast
and the general meeting will be at 8pm.

począwszy od 13 września. W celu zamawiania intencji
prosimy Państwa o przybywanie do kancelarii parafialnej w godzinach pracy kancelarii. Ofiara za intencję
wynosi $15. Intencje nie mogą być przyjmowane przez
telefon.
PROGRAM POMOCY SOCJALNEJ (OUTREACH)
W tym tygodniu prosimy Was o: puree ziemniaczane w
proszku, dżem / galaretkę (jelly), zupy, sos do makaronu
i pastę do zębów. Przyjmujemy ponadto karty - gift cards.
W związku ze zbliżającym się początkiem roku szkolnego
prosimy także o przybory szkolne: plecaki, zeszyty (notebooks, 3-ring binders), kredki świecowe (crayons) ,
ołówki, długopisy, linijki, karty -index cards, flamastry
fluorescencyjne (highlighters) itp.
