Eleventh Sunday In Ordinary Time
Today͛s readings present us with our
need for faith in Jesus, and God͛s
willingness and desire to forgive our sins.
After hearing today͛s first reading,
you may think, as I did, that David got off
very easy for a heinous crime of murder
because of lust. However there is much
more to the story. You may want to read
the entire 12th chapter of the Second Book
of Samuel to get the complete story.
In the Gospel passage, Jesus tells
Simon that the woman͛s sins are forgiven
because she showed great love by anointing
his feet. And Jesus says to the woman
͞Your faith has saved you, go in peace͟.
This leads us to the second reading
from St. Paul in which he tells us that we
are justified through ͞faith in Jesus Christ͟.
͞I live by faith in the Son of God who has
loved me and given himself up for me.͟
Let us spend this week deepening our
faith in Jesus and thanking him for the many
times we have received forgiveness. (One
way to do this would be by receiving the
Sacrament of Reconciliation.)

YOUTH GROUP
ROSARY ALTAR SOCIETY TRIP
WEDNESDAY, OCTOBER 5, 2016
Come join the Rosary Society on their trip to
the SIGHT & SOUND live theatre production
of “SAMSON” in Lancaster, PA. The cost of
the ticket is $135 which includes the Bus,
Lunch and Theatre. For more information,
call Terry Rogers at (631) 532-5291.
The Knights of Columbus Council 9267,
will be meeting on Monday, June 13th in the
lower church hall. The officers will be meeting at 7:00pm, the general meeting which
will include election for new officers will
take place at 8:00pm.
We invite all our younger parishioners ages
11 and up to join our Youth Group each Friday night at 7:30 PM in the basement of the
church. It is a great opportunity to deepen
your faith, to meet new friends, to do something useful and to simply have fun together. Parents, grandparents, guardians,
aunts and uncles, please tell your kids about
this initiative.
CONTINUING EDUCATION CLASS
In the 2016-2017 school year, we will be offering a Continuing Education class for young
people who have already received the Sacrament of Confirmation. Father Janusz will be
teaching this class to continue formation in the
Faith. The class will be held on Tuesday
evenings at no charge. If you are interested,
please sign up for it at the Religious Ed office
(Please check office schedule in page 5 of this
buletin)

W każdą niedzielę czerwca na pół godziny przed Mszą
św. wieczorną w języku polskim (o godz. 16:30) , w
naszym kościele jest odprawiane Nabożeństwo
Czerwcowe.
Ponadto w dni powszednie wieczorami o godz. 19:00
grupa osób gromadzi się przy figurze Matki Bożej na
zewnątrz kościoła, aby odmawiać Litanię do
Najświętszego Serca Pana Jezusa.
