Communities of believers everywhere would support and encourage one another and be identified as Christians by the way they love each other. It would be a world with no tears, no death and mourning, no crying out in pain. “Behold, I make all things new,” we hear the Son of God say in the second reading from the book of Revelation (21:5). Is this world of John’s vision only imaginary? Are these faithful followers for whom Jesus prayed only a savior’s dream? Today they are put before us as a worthy goal. How much closer can we come to this vision of a true Christian community in our lives today? Copyright © J.S. Paluch Co. Pray for… Recen por... Christine Puhalla, Alice Provost, Mary Miller, Dcn. In order to be able to continue to offer intentions for the remainder of 2016, we will now be sending any requests for intentions and prayers for the living and the deceased to the Benedictine Sisters of Sacred Heart Monastery in Cullman, AL. This is a special ministry of the Sisters and they will pray for your loved ones during an entire month. We will still issue cards and are asking for a $5.00 donation for each intention requested. Offertory Collection: April 9/10 $12,618.96 In today’s Gospel, Jesus gives His disciples— and us—a new commandment: “Love one another.” Good stewards who spend their time and talents in service to others are well on their way to fulfilling this commandment. Next week’s second collection is for the Parish Life Center. “Mercy will always be greater than any sin, and no one can place limits on the love of God who is ever ready to forgive.” Pope Francis SUNDAY APRIL 24 Fifth Sunday of Easter 7:30 a.m. Steven deVaux 9:30 a.m. Pro Populo 11:30 a.m. Joseph Isabelle MONDAY APRIL 25 Saint Mark, Evangelist 6:30 a.m. Bud Maans 8:15 a.m. Helen Kashynski TUESDAY APRIL 26 Easter Weekday 6:30 a.m. Art Sizemore 8:15 a.m. Isaac Green-Living WEDNESDAY APRIL 27 Easter Weekday 6:30 a.m. William Dunn 8:15 a.m Phyllis Kunky THURSDAY APRIL 28 Saint Peter Chanel, Priest and Martyr Saint Louis Grignion de Montfort, Priest 6:30 a.m. Buck Smith 8:15 a.m. Emil DeRouin FRIDAY APRIL 29 Saint Catherine of Siena, Virgin & Doctor of the Church 6:30 a.m. Catherine Martin 8:15 a.m. Virginia Huff Coss SATURDAY APRIL 30 Pope Pius V, Pope 8:15 a.m.. Copyright (c) J. S. Paluch Co.
