GENERATIONS
INTRODUCTION
Project Based Learning has always been productive. The students will not only learn knowledge but also
develop their skills for learning. The majority of the students seem to appreciate the lessons as they
gradually developed their skills in communication. Projects really boost learners’ language acquisition
and make them more confident about their learning. They also strengthen team spirit and make learners
more aware of their own interests and talents as well as of the ones of their classmates.
TASK
In advance, students will be divided in teams of four. They will have to do a comparative chart to show
the differences and similarities between their own generation and their parents´ generation in terms of
education, traditions, family life, clothes, entertainment, food, manners, friendship, hobbies and school.
PROCESS
 Students will interview their parents in order to get as much information as they can related to the
topics in the chart. (if possible, film the interviews to be included in the oral presentation)
 Once students have got the information, they discuss about it and organise it according to the
requested topics. In Word, students do a comparative chart. For each aspect they find out about
their parents they have to write about their own experience referred to that aspect.
 Students have to include two examples for each of the topics: education, traditions, family life,
clothes, entertainment, food, manners, friendship, hobbies and school.
 Remember, when you write you have to be careful with your coherence, spelling, grammar,
vocabulary related to the topic.
 Include the cover page of the work.
 The written work must be printed.
 Students will hand in their written work according to directions.
 Students will also perform an oral presentation where all the information they gathered will be
exposed. (Power Point)
 For the oral presentation, students may include some interviews (if possible), photographs,
statistics, etc.

INTRODUCCIÓN
El aprendizaje basado en proyectos siempre ha sido productivo. Los estudiantes no sólo adquieren
conocimientos, sino también desarrollan sus habilidades para el aprendizaje. La mayoría de los
estudiantes parecen apreciar las lecciones a medida que desarrollan gradualmente sus habilidades en
la comunicación. Los proyectos realmente impulsan la adquisición del lenguaje en los alumnos y los
hace más seguros de su aprendizaje. También fortalecen el espíritu de trabajo en equipo y hace que los
estudiantes estén más conscientes de sus intereses y talentos, así como de los de sus compañeros de
clase.
TAREA
Con anticipación, los estudiantes serán divididos en equipos de cuatro. Tendrán que hacer un cuadro
comparativo para mostrar las diferencias y similitudes entre su propia generación y la generación de sus
padres en términos de educación, tradiciones, vida familiar, ropa, entretenimiento, comida, modales,
amistad, pasatiempos y escuela.
PROCESO
• Los alumnos entrevistarán a sus padres para obtener la mayor información posible relacionada con los
temas de la tabla. (Si es posible, filmar las entrevistas que pueden ser incluidas en la presentación oral)
• Una vez que los alumnos obtuvieron la información, la discutieron y la organizaron según los temas
solicitados, realizarán un cuadro comparativo en Word. Por cada aspecto que investiguen acerca de sus
padres tienen que escribir sobre su propia experiencia relacionada a ese aspecto.
• Los alumnos deben incluir dos ejemplos para cada uno de los temas: educación, tradiciones, vida
familiar, ropa, entretenimiento, comida, modales, amistad, pasatiempos y escuela.
• Recuerden que al escribir deben tener cuidado con su coherencia, ortografía, gramática y vocabulario
relacionado con el tema.
• Incluir la portada del trabajo escrito.
• El trabajo escrito debe ser impreso.
• Los estudiantes entregarán su trabajo escrito de acuerdo a las instrucciones.
• Los alumnos también realizarán una presentación oral donde toda la información que reunieron será
expuesta. (PowerPoint)
• Para la presentación oral, los alumnos pueden incluir algunas entrevistas (si es posible), fotografías,
estadísticas, etc.
