Bank Drop Volunteers Needed
Volunteers are needed in sorting collection envelopes and cash after each of the Masses on Saturday
evening and Sunday mornings. For this ministry, a
person assists after the Mass they routinely attend
for ten minutes by sorting and counting the number
of envelopes and cash. The most immediate need is
for several people who might be available for 10:30
a.m. Mass but volunteers for other Mass times are
welcomed. Also, a volunteer is needed as early as
August. Training will be provided.
If interested or want to discuss further, contact
Jerry Legere by email at [email protected], phone 340-0501 or text -210-2100.
MARTHA AND MARY MEAL MINISTRY
Please consider volunteering for our Martha and
Mary Meal Ministry.
Be on a team of 5 people - you make the same
dish (menu categories are provided) any time the
team is called upon to provide a meal for someone
who is ill, had surgery, or had a baby. To volunteer,
contact Katie Gordy at [email protected] or at 359
-2700. This is a lovely way to minister without too
many demands being put on you. Please consider
being the "Martha" of the team - the one who gathers the food and takes it to the person in need.

FROM THE
PASTOR
More on the proposed satanic “mass:” I find that as I
type about this ugly subject, I refuse to dignify this
abomination by using the term ‘mass’ with a capital M.
The supreme Catholic worship of God is called the
Holy Sacrifice of the Mass and the Holy Mass. Those
terms are written with capital letters. The satanic
mockery is a sacrilege and an abuse of what is most
holy in our midst: the very presence Body, Blood,
Soul, and Divinity of Christ Jesus. The satanic ceremony is not deserving of any modicum of respect that
we would normally afford the Holy Mass. Satanists
have hijacked our term ‘mass’. They have done so
intentionally. I begrudgingly use that term only because it is how they describe their own ceremony.
But you’ll note I refuse to capitalize ‘mass’. Furthermore, I use the term in quotations to denote that
their ceremony is no ordinary or authentic use of the
term at all.

In this time in which our Archbishop has called for a
united prayer campaign to avert the satanic “mass” I
am printing in our bulletin some suggested prayers for
your private use. Printed in this weekend’s bulletin is
the following: The Prayer Against Every Evil.
Sincerely in Christ,
Rev. Stephen Hamilton
Prayer Against Every Evil
Spirit of our God, Father, Son, and Holy Spirit, Most
Holy Trinity, Immaculate Virgin Mary, angels, archangels, and saints of heaven, descend upon me.
Please purify me, Lord, mold me, fill me with yourself, use me.
Banish all the forces of evil from me, destroy them,
vanquish them, so that I can be healthy and do good
deeds. Banish from me all spells, witchcraft, black
magic, malefice, ties, maledictions, and the evil eye;
diabolic infestations, oppressions, possessions; all that
is evil and sinful, jealousy, perfidy, envy; physical, psychological, moral, spiritual, diabolical ailments. Burn
all these evils in hell, that they may never again touch
Twenty-First Sunday in Ordinary Time
me or any other creature in the entire world.
I command and bid all the powers who molest me
- by the power of God all powerful, in the name of
Jesus Christ our Savior, through the intercession of
the Immaculate Virgin Mary - to leave me forever,
and to be consigned into the everlasting hell, where
they will be bound by Saint Michael the archangel,
Saint Gabriel, Saint Raphael, our guardian angels, and
where they will be crushed under the heel of the
Immaculate Virgin Mary. Through Christ our Lord.
Amen.

daily in private prayers.

will be held:
• Saturday, Sept. 20, in main church after evening
Vigil Mass from 6-7 p.m.

■
Adult Bible Study: Isaiah
The Book of Isaiah is quoted by the New Testament
more than 50 times. He was considered by the Fathers of the Church as the “greatest of the literary
prophets.” And it is a collection of messages from
God to his beloved during troubling times. If you’d
like to plumb the mysteries of this great Old Testament book, a new Adult Education program will commence the second week of September and run
through to Pentecost of next year. In addition to
reading Isaiah, we will cover the relevant sections of
Kings and Chronicles, draw upon Church fathers and
recent scholarship and finish with how Isaiah is used
by the New Testament authors. The class most likely
will be in the evening during the early part of each
week and meet in someone’s home near the parish.
Additional Parish Response:
■ Parish Novena of Fasting & Penance Sept. 12
(Feast of the Holy Name of Mary) – Sept. 20 inclusive. Parishioners are asked to observe penance
and to fast for the nine days leading up to the
scheduled “black mass.” Novena concludes with
the parish Holy Hour on Saturday, Sept. 20, 6-7
p.m.
■ The Knights of Columbus are standing guard dur
ing the distribution of Holy Com munion at week
end Masses to reduce likelihood that anyone
might walk off with a Sacred Host.
■ Other suggested prayers will be printed in future
bulletins for private use by parishioners.
■ Parishioners are encouraged to lodge complaint
(charitably) with the Civic Center: General Manager (405) 297-2584 or Public Information Manager (405) 297-3882.
Both the place and time though will be dependent
upon the response and number of interested participants. So if you are interested please contact Alan
Lipps at [email protected] or (405) 5014215.

vida.
